Over at Oven & Fried Chicken, you can tuck into a tantalizing array of fried chicken done in a myriad of ways, some of which you have never heard of before—this includes crispy fried chicken smothered in Neapolitan-flavoured ice cream which goes highly recommended by us!

Red Holic is where lovers of Korean food can settle in for some of the tastiest tteokbokki around. Helmed by the same folks behind Super Star K, this cosy joint boasts a myriad of home-style Korean stews, dumplings and other tasty delights that go well with beer or soju.

Red Holic specialises in comforting Korean food in the likes of classic tteokbokki, ramyeon and Korean street snacks. While their menu is pretty selective, this Korean eatery does make for a nice pit stop for a quick snack on the go or for your friends and yourself to retire to over drinks after a hard day’s work.

Kick start your meal with one of Red Holic’s Giant Mandus (Korean dumplings). Red Holic serves a selective variety of this classic Korean street snack at a relatively affordable price per piece.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

The menu is pretty straightforward with a huge variety of skewers and other classic Korean dishes that you would find at any Korean restaurant. You can either pick from the a la carte menu or go for the value-for-money skewer sets.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins><ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: block; text-align: center;" data-ad-layout="in-article" data-ad-format="fluid" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="3885138539"></ins>

Taking over the premise of the now-defunct May May, Daegweol has a similar refined interior which boasts polished marble tables and a sleek counter bar right at the back of the hall.

The modern restaurant’s soft ambient lighting, crawling greens and wooden furnishing help to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere that is perfect for business lunches with clients, a romantic date with your significant other and even a gathering with large groups of friends.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: block; text-align: center;" data-ad-layout="in-article" data-ad-format="fluid" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="3885138539"></ins><ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: block; text-align: center;" data-ad-layout="in-article" data-ad-format="fluid" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="3885138539"></ins>

Their Suyuk with Rice Set (lunch – S$16++, dinner – S$24++) came with six pieces of boiled pork, pork soup, healthy multigrain rice and fresh lettuce. The chewy boiled pork slices may be too tough for some but we felt that it went well in a wrap with seasoned bean paste. Wash it all down with refreshing light pork broth.

All main dishes come with free-flow ban chan such as kimchi, fried anchovies, tamagoyaki amongst others. We ordered a few rounds of the tamagoyaki which had bits of crunchy carrot for extra textures.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: block; text-align: center;" data-ad-layout="in-article" data-ad-format="fluid" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="3885138539"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

Over on the menu, the BBQ meat selection ranges from S$22 to S$45. We loved the Kimchi Jjigae (S$15) and Bibimbap (S$15). And what we really like about Bornga is the experience – they serve you a whole selection of veggies and chillies, as with premium salt and sauces to complement your BBQ meats.

K. Cook Korean BBQ Buffet at Orchard Central is one of the most affordable Korean BBQ buffet restaurants in Singapore. On weekdays, the Korean BBQ buffet is S$14.90++ /pax for lunch, and S$24.90++/pax for dinner.

During dinner, you can find a selection of meats like marinated pork collar, chicken, pork belly, pork collar, marinated beef short rib, beef bulgogi, beef plate eye and marinated beef ribeye, while lunch has considerately lesser beef options. Granted, the quality and variety of meat are not the best, but given the prices, there is really nothing to complain about.

Lunch: S$14.90++ (Mon to Fri), S$24.90++ (Sat, Sun, Eve of PH, & PH).

#8 MIDNIGHT HOUSE

A pretty nondescript outlet along Mohammed Sultan, Midnight House is one of those under-the-radar Korean BBQ restaurant and one that we go to when we want to avoid the crazy crowds in town. Nothing fanciful about this place; just your regular meats and side dishes, but we love its simplicity and how the service is very prompt.

Over on the menu, you have your usuals – Beef Rib (S$32), Pork Belly (S$21) and Black Pork (S$29). And what warmed our hearts so was the Soybean Paste Stew (S$15). It is definitely one of the best stews we’ve tried in Singapore.

One of the most popular Korean BBQ restaurants in Singapore, Super Star K specialises in using charcoal grill for its Korean BBQ, and the authentic dining experience explains its popularity among Singaporeans and tourists alike.
Talk about the hottest Korean BBQ restaurants in Singapore, and we all think of Super Star K at Tanjong Pagar. The outlet specialises in using charcoal grill for its Korean BBQ, and the authentic dining experience explains its popularity among Singaporeans and tourists alike. Perpetually packed and crowded, dinner might have to come with a little wait, but we will tell you it is going to be worth the while.

The group of us ate very well. We ordered a variety of dishes like Sliced Pork BBQ (S$18), Pork Belly BBQ (S$18), Spicy Chicken BBQ (S$18), Black Pepper Chicken (S$18), Pork Bulgogi (S$18), Seafood Pancake (S$25) and Soy Bean Paste Stew (S$12). Everything was great, and there was nothing much to pick on. The quality of the meat wasn’t anything to get excited about, but they were well-marinated and the servers are all dedicated to BBQ-ing them for you.

Do not have your meal without the Seafood Pancake and Soy Bean paste Stew, because these classic Korean favourites are complementary to the heavily flavoured meats. The ones who cannot do without their spicy food can opt for the Kimchi Stew, or better known as Kimchi Jjigae.

Super Star K takes in reservations for groups of 4 and above for dinners on Tuesdays to Thursday. Otherwise, we’d suggest you to get there before 6pm or be prepared to wait for at least 45 minutes. Yes, the queue is quite a horror.
