5 Places to Eat At After Bare Your Sole 2014 Charity Barefoot Walkathon

Bare your sole 2014

Bare Your Sole 2014 is a barefoot walkathon that will be taking place at Gardens by the Bay East (Rhu Cross) on 12th July (9am – 12pm). Gather your friends to partake in this meaningful event and help raise funds for Habitat for Humanity Singapore’s Project HomeWorks (to help clean up the homes of the elderly poor living in 1 bedroom rented HDB apartments).

Not only is joining Bare Your Sole a good way to work out for a good cause, walking barefoot is also slowly becoming a big trend around the world. Research has shown that walking barefoot boasts many health benefits and one that we love is the increase of antioxidants through absorbing electrons from the Earth; keeping one even more connected to Mother Earth, literally speaking!

A day of fun, with food, music, games and entertainment awaits you, and the 2.5km/5km walkathon will be nothing short of fulfilling your needs – spiritually and physically. Sign yourself up now at www.bareyoursole.org.sg!

Postcards from Gardens by the Bay Singapore

Gardens by the Bay

Singapore has always been known as a ‘Garden City’, and with the opening of Gardens by The Bay, it further strengthens and positions Singapore as a city in a garden. Some people have compared it to London’s Hyde Park and New York’s Central Park, and while the comparison is flattering, Gardens by The Bay is very much different and has its own character and X-factor.

Spanning 101 hectares, Gardens by The Bay is made up of three waterfront gardens – Bay South Garden, Bay East Garden and Bay Central Garden – and it houses over 250,000 rare plants. Alongside other main attractions like the Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay Sands, and the skyscrapers at the Marina Bay area, Gardens by The Bay has become an iconic part of the beautiful Singapore’s skyline. In years to come, I am sure it will become one of Singapore’s prominent national icons.
