Shakey’s Pizza Singapore

Shakey's Pizza

Talk about American food and we all think of pizzas, fried chicken, mojos and ribs. And that is just what Shakey’s Pizza is – one of the biggest chains in America for casual dining. In Singapore, Shakey’s is a cosy bistro that dishes out comforting American classics. They do their pizzas well, as with many other tantalising main courses, complete with the addition of some Asian creations like Oishi Wasabi Pizza and Seafood Marinara.

But we’d say go for the signature Shakey’s Baby Back Ribs (S$14.80 for half slab, S$19.80 for full slab). Well-marinated, tender and flavorful, the ribs are oh-so-delicious and very pleasantly affordable. Guilt-free indulgence, monetarily; one that will earn our loyalty.

And of course, pizza lovers should all flock to Shakey’s for the classic Shakey’s Special (S$19.80 for 9-inch, S$24.80 for 12-inch). Generous toppings of minced beef, ham and olives atop a warm and fluffy dough, then baked with mozzarella cheese – the end result is a pizza that oozes the aroma of perfection and one that completes a family feast.

Baby Back Ribs

The menu is a comprehensive and reasonably-priced one, from salads to pastas to pizzas; there will surely be something for every palate. Most of the dishes are priced below S$20, making Shakey’s Pizza a place where you can dine out and have a good meal without breaking the bank.

Shakey’s Pizza currently has two branches at Liang Court and Junction 10, and they are planning to open more outlets in the near future – do keep a look out for them! For more details, go to shakeyspizza.com.sg or ‘like’ them on facebook.

Pezzo Pizza Singapore

Pezzo Pizza

Pezzo Pizza brings freshly made pizzas served by the slice just like the pizza joints in the Big Apple – New York City. It is affordable and convenient making it the perfect pick-me-up lunch, snack or dinner to hit the spot and satisfy your pizza cravings.

What I love about Pezzo is its consistently strong sense of identity. The Pezzo brand is all about delivering a carnival in every bite no matter the occasion. From its website www.pezzo.com.sg, to the whimsical logo and packaging of the pizza boxes as well as the store decor – Pezzo is all about being bright, cheerful, fun and on top of it all tasty.

Pezzo Christmas Pizza

While crowd favourites are the usual suspects like the classic Pepperoni Party, Hola Hawaiian and local flavour Sambal Ikan Bilis, the ones that had us particularly salivating were the Hot Chick and Chicken Delight. The former is a flavourful combination of spicy chicken strips, cheddar & mozzarella, green & red peppers, and topped with a special punchy chili sauce. The Chicken Delight, on the other hand, leans towards the healthier-side with toppings of chicken breast strips, onions, mushrooms and turkey bacon.

Also make sure to grab a slice of the Ho Ho Hola Hawaiian which has been specially created for Christmas this year! With a wide selection of over 20 flavours, it is always a new and exciting experience at Pezzo. A slice of pizza is affordably-priced at S$4.50, while a whole pizza of 6 slices is S$24.90.

Pezzo has 13 easily accessible pizza-by-the-slice kiosks island-wide and 6 of them are delivery stores perfect for those who want to throw a pizza party. The kiosks are all located in key locations, including Ion Orchard, JEM, The Arcade, The Star Vista, Bedok Mall, as well as a dine-in outlet at Woodlands Exchange. Click here for the list of Pezzo’s kiosk locations.

Call +65 6665 6565 for pizza delivery or visit www.pezzo.com.sg for more details.

Capri Trattoria & Pizzeria Singapore

Capri

Located just a few units away from Pepperoni Pizza of Les Amis fame, one would question the viability of Capri Trattoria & Pizzeria at Binjai Park which similarly dishes up Italian classics. We were torn between safe and adventurous and were glad to be rewarded for picking Capri.

A waiter greets us at the door and leads us to a cosy corner. It’s homely and inviting and we instantly fall in love with this charming little Italian restaurant. Capri is as authentic as can be, with an artfully-styled brick-laid walls decorated with paintings reminiscent of what a restaurant in Italy would be like.

Best Pizzas in Singapore

Best Pizza Singapore

Pizza is one of the most recognized food in the world today. There used to be only one place for pizzas when I was still young, and that was Pizza Hut. But as I grow older, I found satisfaction in seeking new places for something new. Having said that, I still love my Hawaiian pizza from Pizza Hut.

Whenever I want to explore a new place, I am thankful of the fact that there are so many Pizza restaurants in Singapore. Be it Pizza Buffet, Gourmet Pizza, Italian Thin Crust Pizza, Skinny Pizza, American Style Thick Crust Pizza, 1-for-1 Pizza, or the best Pizza promotions in Singapore — we’ve got them covered in this post.

Here is a list of the best Pizza Places in Singapore:

Osteria Pizzeria Mozza MBS by Mario Batali

Pizzeria Mozza Singapore

Chef Mario Batali’s first foray into the Singapore food scene is with the opening of Osteria Mozza & Pizzeria Mozza at Marina Bay Sands.

Pizzeria Mozza is probably the most affordable option amongst the Marina Bay Sands celebrity chefs’ restaurants. The pizzas on Pizzeria Mozza’s menu are priced between $18 to $38. I’d think this is extremely good value given that most of the pizza restaurants in Singapore charge around the same price for a pizza.

Skinny Pizza Barracks House Dempsey Road Singapore

Skinny Pizza Singapore

In the local Singapore food scene, there are always new restaurants opening and it is good since we have more options to choose from. Dempsey road restaurants is probably one of the most happening food destinations in Singapore. The Disgruntled Chef is the latest restaurant to join the crowd at dempsey hill, but when it comes to choosing a place for dinner – I would head back to Barracks Cafe, House Dempsey road.
