Yishun – the place where most Singaporeans poke fun at for their mysterious yet somewhat hilarious happenings. However, what some don’t know is that it’s a pretty poppin’ place filled with all sorts of hidden foodie gems! Just think cheap laksa, army stew and crispy har cheong gai!
Here’s a list of all the nosh we think are worth making a trip down to Yishun for – regardless of what crazy things you may find when you’re there!
Selera Rasa Nasi Lemak at Adam Road Food Centre is well-known in the Singapore food scene. Some of my friends even go as far as calling them the best Nasi Lemak in Singapore.
Naturally, I was half sceptical and half excited to try Selera Rasa Nasi Lemak. Having been to Chong Pang and Punggol Nasi Lemak, I thought that they were not as impressive as the one that I had in Kuala Lumpur. Bearing that in mind, I went to Adam Road Hawker Centre with zero expectations.
Nasi Lemak is definitely one of the must-try hawker food in Singapore. Like what I’ve mentioned previously, there are a few nasi lemak stalls in Singapore that have platinum status (and perpetually long queues): the famous Changi Village Nasi Lemak, the two rivaling Adam road Nasi Lemak stalls, Fong Seng Nasi Lemak, Chong Pang Nasi Lemak, the popular Boon Lay Power Nasi Lemak, and of course Punngol Nasi Lemak.
