Hustle Co is a cafe & bar at Craig Road which features 12 craft beers on tap. Although most would start their morning with a good cup of coffee, why not shake things up by having a craft beer with your breakfast instead?

Set foot into the dimly-lit restaurant and you will be greeted by a gigantic Iron Man statue. The life-size figurine was imported directly from the United States of America; and we say, it is a dream come true for all fans. We couldn’t stop staring at it, and we chose a table right beside so it felt like we were dining with Tony Stark!

72o Bistro & The Toys’ glass cabinet showcases a wide selection of Marvel limited edition figurines, including Black Widow, Captain America, Hulk, Thor and more. The restaurant owner has been collecting these figurines since 2000 and he decided to open a themed bistro to share his prized possessions with like-minded fans.

The collection is really expensive, and it is fascinating, to say the least.

There are a bunch of starters on 72o Bistro & The Toys’ menu. We suggest you get the Spicy Buffalo Wings (S$8.90 nett / five pieces) for sharing.

Each succulent chicken wing is marinated, deep-fried and tossed in spicy buffalo sauce. Carrot and cucumber sticks are served on the side with a blue cheese dip.

For something more substantial, share the 2 Amigos Pizza (S$13.90 nett) baked with bacon bits, bratwurst sausage, tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese.

It is worth mentioning that every item is served in an incredibly generous portion!

The Dancing Prawn Aglio Olio (S$14.80 nett) might look unassuming, but do not let its simplicity fool you. It is hands down our favourite Western dish from 72o Bistro & The Toys.

Al dente spaghetti is served with fresh and plump sautéed prawns, chilli flakes, garlic, onion, olive oil and pepper. Flavourful in every bite, and certainly very filling!

The 72o House Burger (S$15.80 nett) is a value-for-money main course that will fill you up easily. Melted cheese, chargrilled beef patty, smoked bacon bits, mushroom, romaine lettuce, cherry tomato, mayonnaise and a sunny side egg are served atop two palm-size sesame buns with a garden salad and a tin of fries on the side.

72o Bistro & The Toys’ signature dish is the chef-recommended Grass-fed Rib-eye Steak (S$24 nett). The rib-eye steak is grilled to the doneness of your choice and served with asparagus, mushrooms, potato wedges, salad and drenched in an aromatic brown sauce.

For something different, consider the 72o Curry Chicken Burger (S$12.80 nett), which resembles more of a sandwich. Fork-tender marinated chicken, Indian curry gravy, pineapple rings, romaine lettuce and onion slices are stuffed inside a ciabatta bread.

We have to admit that the North Indian delicacies served at 72o Bistro & The Toys seriously surpassed our expectations. Frankly speaking, there seems to be little or no link between North Indian cuisine and a bistro decked out in Marvel decors. But boy, we were impressed to no end.

The fragrant Butter Chicken (S$12.80 nett) is a must-order. In fact, we would gladly make a return special trip just for their Butter Chicken! Think tender boneless chicken cooked with a thick, buttered masala gravy. Needless to say, this Indian classic was the star of the meal—everyone was digging into the viscous tomato-based mixture.

While the Butter Chicken tastes good on its own, the Cheese and Garlic Naan (S$4.80 nett) and Chicken Briyani (S$11.80 nett) make great accompaniments.

The former is a delicious Indian bread baked in clay oven, whereas the latter is a traditional Indian dish comprising curried chicken and spiced rice. Can’t decide what to have? Order all. No such thing as too much good food.

By now, you are probably overwhelmed by the seemingly endless options available.

Want more sharing dishes? Then give the Chicken Suslick (S$9.80 nett / two sticks, S$17.80 nett / four sticks) a shot. These skewers consist of marinated chicken chunks, grilled capsicums and onions.

49 Seats is renowned for their industrial chic ambience, where old-school metallic plates and tin mugs are used. We love that fuss-free, retro-ish touch to the food.

As its name suggests, the founding store at Outram Park sits exactly 49 diners. Due to its increasing popularity, 49 Seats has proceeded to open two bigger outlets at Bugis Plus and Orchard Central to accommodate more patrons. The casual dining establishment takes pride in serving East-meets-West delicacies similar to those served during Singapore’s British colonial era.

Being one of the leading pioneers in Singapore to create fusion dishes with spicy tom yum broth, we have to applaud 49 Seats for their brilliant concept of integrating Asian flavours into classic Italian dishes.

Who would have known that these seemingly contrasting ingredients would actually complement each other so well? We were completely hooked to the Tom Yum Seafood Pasta (S$14.90).

Active foodies on the prowl might have already heard about this highly raved dish that features an exotic cream-based seafood pasta. It packs a punch of sweetness, sourness and spiciness with every bite and is indeed illustrative of Singapore’s diverse ethnicity.

Topped with generous amounts of mussels and prawns, the semi-spicy pasta is the bestseller at 49 Seats and you will not get this unique pasta rendition elsewhere.

The Creamy Smoked Duck Pasta (S$14.90) and Smoked Duck Aglio Olio (S$14.90) also got to us with its simplicity. The smoked duck breasts are so tender and juicy, and either way, we liked both pastas. The former takes on the classic carbonara, while the latter is a traditional aglio olio – the end results are delightful fusion dishes with a notable local twist.

Do note that the Smoked Duck Aglio Olio is not on the menu so one would have to make a special request for it.

Fish options to look out for are the Old Fashioned Fish & Chips (S$16.90) and Pan-fried Fish (S$16.90). The former is a battered seasonal fish, while the latter is a tender dory cooked simply with salt and pepper and lemon juice.

Both fishy mains are generously portioned and served with either an Al Scampi or Tom Yum sauce on the side for dipping. For the uninitiated, the Al Scampi is a seafood dish prepared with sautéed clams, mussels and prawns.

If your briny cravings are still not met, order the deep-fried Fish Bites (S$9.90) that comes in a basket of 10. Damn, these snacks got us hooked and we couldn’t stop munching on them while waiting for our mains! By the way, you would have guessed that the Tom Yum sauce is addictive, right?

49 Seats also offer a few poultry and red meat dishes, such as the chef’s recommendations of Cheesy Chicken Chop (S$16.90) and Sirloin Steak (S$19.90).

Complete your main and make it a set with an additional S$4.90, and you get a portion of soup of the day, and a soft drink of your choice. And the drink choices include their pretty house fizz beverages (S$2.50 for a la carte); we’d say go for these instead of the normal soft drinks!

Should you be a light eater, there is a variety of light bites for you to snack on. Our favourite appetisers is the glorious Cheese Fries (S$7.90).

Signature must-tries include the Breezy Berries and Poire Basil. The former is a blend of mint, lychee liqueur, cherry bitters and Pisco, while the latter is a revitalising mix of Absolut Pear Vodka, basil, grapefruit bitters and zesty lime juice garnished with fresh pear slices.

Both cocktails are served in old-school silver metal tins and decorated with real fruits. These beverages are actually very potent and you will get the bang for your buck!

Another drink that you should try is their spiced cocktail Hot Melons (S$18++) – a brilliant Asian fusion invention inspired by the liqueur affogato.

Muddled with chilli padi, shaken with dark rum and served with a soursop sorbet, the cocktail is a unique sweet-and-spicy concoction. The spiciness have been underwhelmed by the ice-cream so you do not have to worry about having your tongue on fire!

Or you can also savour the classic margarita, martini and mojito with an additional unexpected twist of your choice. Spiced mojito or mojito infused with peach or mixed berries, what say you?

Similarly, you could have an apple or lychee martini instead of the traditional one. Last but not least, enjoy either a mango or mixed berry margarita – or stick to the good old classics. These enthralling classic tipples are priced at S$18++ each too.

If you are here to catch the dazzling sunset, do order an Alexandra Sunset (S$18++) to kickstart your evening.

Named after Aqua Luna’s location, this golden-hued cocktail creation – an infusion of Grand Marnier liqueur with flamed Rosemary, pineapple juices, white rum and dark rum – is served in a classy wine glass and a hit amongst both the ladies and gentlemen.

Aqua Luna keeps its entire menu extremely affordable. We were pleasantly surprised by how generously portioned and appetising the unassuming Battered Cauliflower (S$8++) was.

Each crispy fried batter contained an impossibly tender cauliflower and we love how it packed a punch with its hints of fragrant curry and onion. The addictive vegetarian dish is served with an irresistible cheesy béchamel dipping sauce on the side. Sinful as it may sound, we would return to Aqua Luna just for this, because diet can (sometimes) wait.

Sick of the ubiquitous truffle fries? Give their heavenly Truffle Polenta Fries (S$10++) a shot and you definitely will not regret wasting your calories on this amazing savoury treat. Well, for those who always tell us truffle fries are too mainstream for their liking, this would do the trick for you!

For the uninitiated, polenta is a type of thick cornmeal that is most commonly used in Central Europe It is consumed in other parts of the world such as South America and the Middle East, and they may be named differently and more commonly known as cornmeal.

For those who are keen to try something different, you will enjoy these delightful polenta fries that are dusted in parmesan cheese and served with a dollop of homemade truffle-infused mayonnaise dipping sauce.

Oysters fan, please join us in feasting with these freshly shucked Seasonal Oysters (1/2 doz – S$24++) served au natural with a classic mignonette. Can you imagine slurping them juicy oysters while swimming? Oh god, the life!

Those who do not fancy the exquisite oysters can still find other seafood nibbles, such as the A Pint of Prawns (S$14++) served with cocktail sauce, and A Pot of Mussels (S$18++) – blue mussels that have been cooked with Chardonnay.

Of course, the carnivores can join us in feasting on the decadent “Dirty” Steak (S$36++) which is grilled to medium-rare and charred in the wood-fired oven while sitting atop charcoal. It is served with anchovy butter and a pinch of sea salt.

How awesome does steak by the pool sound, right? We are all so used to steak in fine restaurants, and this experience at Aqua Luna sure is a fresh breath of air.

On to the flatbreads now, my friends. Essentially wood-fired pizzas served fresh from the oven, these bar snacks are actually very filling and enjoyable with some cocktails (but of course).

There are a total of five flavours to choose from – Crabmeat & Artichoke (S$24++), Margarita (S$18++), Beef & Chilli (S$20++), Tiger Prawn & Pesto (S$24++) and Chorizo & Onion (S$18++).

It is also worth mentioning that the breads have been painstakingly proofed for at least three hours, hence giving rise to a light and crispy crust. And they are made fresh daily!

When daylight wanes away and night-time takes over, Aqua Luna transforms from a tropical paradise into a dimly lit romantic bar; the latter is how we will always remember Aqua Luna to be, as when we first saw the bar in its full glory against the golden sunset.

Tucked away on the second level of Orchard Shopping Centre is a sleek new outpost (of a 40-seater bar) waiting to be unearthed. Japanese head bartender, Yukata Nakashima, runs the show at Kuvo, and ‘bespoke cocktails’ is the name of the game. Send your cocktail preferences his way and leave fate to abate your (alcoholic) cravings.

Adventurous drinkers, this spot will light your fire. A preposterous concoction that tastes uncannily like assam laksa arrives in the form of Auchentoshan 12 year old, garam masala and calamansi. It’s sour, savory and bittersweet with a tinge of exotic spice. Oh, and sidebar; there’s an option for a prawn noodle cocktail—who says you can drink your dinner?

If you’re leaving it to the bartender’s fancy, bespoke concoctions run along the path with concoctions like tequila-based beauty of Don Julio Blanco, Sambuca, martini rosso, Fernet Branca and Nikka-infused coffee beans that births a perfumed, bittersweet palate.

It’s safe to assume that your pre-dinner drinking is in capable hands.

#2 JIBIRU CRAFT BEER BAR

This is where you and 10 like-minded beer appreciators will go to take command of the bar, and focus on what’s important. Things with the words “ale” and “lager”. Because those are the things that they excel at here, alongside some pretty darn good yakitori to prep your stomach for a boozy night. We reckon the Hibiki set (S$36.50 for 12 skewers) will set you straight.

If you’re new to beer, opt for the tasting flights (S$18) where you’ll get a tasting portion of four of their rotating draft beers, explained to you in great detail—these guys sure know their stuff—before proceeding to drown your short-lived beer education.

Do so with Kinshachi red miso lager Nagoya (S$13.90) that’s got minimal head (if that rocks your boat), malty caramel tones, and hoppy bitterness with a mild miso twist, or Owa beer (S$13.50)—a Belgian style pale ale with robust notes of toffee, dark malt, earth and spice. There’s also a range of Hitachino beers catered for easy drinking—we’ve got our vote on the refreshingly malty Saison Du (S$12.90) and hoppy, bittersweet lager (S$13.90). Yes, lager. Like we said, we focus on what’s important.

#3 MANHATTAN BAR

This sleek, dark and sexy bar is exactly the kind of place where you’ll refuse to call it a night, which would be for the best, since your refusal will be met with a number of discreetly potent cocktails. Or you could give them a wild-card route (layman’s term: bespoke)—tell them your poison of choice, serving style and whatever preferences pop into your head, and watch them do their magic.

Things you cannot do without: a solera-aged negroni (S$25) and single-cask cocktail (S$25) from their rickhouse; which happens to be the world’s first in-hotel rickhouse—an interesting piece of information you can boast to your date. You can thank us later.

If you’re not (seated) by the bar, sink yourself deep into one of their plush couch seats and decide between an Avaition (S$23) made with Citadelle gin, or Penicillin (S$23) with Monkey Shoulder scotch—the former soft floral and herbaceous notes, the latter; a smoky upgrade of the classic whiskey sour with a twist of lemon and ginger. Those are the toughest decisions you should be making for the night.

#4 THE HORSE’S MOUTH

You’ll come here for one of two reasons: to impress someone of your knowledge of the best well-hidden bar in Singapore, or to ensure your night ends well. Maybe both. Either way, you’ll be in the good hands of head bartender, Byron Tan. But before he leads you down the path of denial (of drunkenness), pad down your stomach with the Wagyu tongue with yuzu pepper (S$12) and braised duck breast (S$12) that’s so flavorfully delicious it makes you wonder if you might have accidentally walked into a restaurant.

Employing our favorite spirit, mezcal, is the Beetroot Bonanza (S$25) that simmers beetroot concentrate with chili tincture before combining it with green Chartreuse to emanate the sweetness and smokiness of chargrilled beetroot. Another remarkable ‘all-star’ is the Gentlemen’s Tip (S$25) where the malty smokiness of Monkey Shoulder meets Carpano Antica Formula’s herbaceous fruity sweetness, blended with oloroso and amontillado to birth a beautifully complex concoction that layers sweet, bitter and citrus notes. You’ll take to this like a fat kid to cake.

#5 5 ON EMERALD HILL

Possibly the oldest cocktail bar in Singapore, 5 on Emerald Hill has been taking residence in an old Peranakan-styled shop house near the outskirts of town since the early 1990s. The two-level bar exudes an air of nostalgia that envelops you into thinking you’re in the 1990s—think oak wood paneling, worn out furniture and walls covered in black and white pictures of customers and celebrities from that era.

Cocktails here won’t burn a hole in your wallet (prices start from S$15), but its No. 5 original chili vodka just might. Signature vodkas and gin infusions are featured in their house-signature martinis like the No. 5 dry gin martini (S$15) that leaves a lingering burning sensation reminiscent of chili padi, or Bangkok martini (S$15) where lemongrass, lime juice and Grey Goose coconut cream is infused with chili to exude a taste of Thailand. While cocktails here don’t veer too far off in imagination, its nostalgic aura easily transports you back to the 1990s. Sometimes, old is gold.

Let’s just call it the Ol’ 5.

The new branch at Holland Village – its 5th outlet – might just become our favourite one yet, because it is with a Japanese twist and is more like an izakaya; think a line-up of Japanese fare and a wide selection of sake and beers. That’s comfort level 100% – for both our tastebuds and wallet.

Staying true to Bar Bar Black Sheep’s philosophy of serving affordable comfort food in a casual and chill-out setting, every dish on the Japanese izakaya menu is well priced under S$15. It is fuss-free, and the prices are unbelievably affordable, you’d do a double take and wonder if you were really at a bistro or a coffee shop!

And, guess what? Set lunches are only S$10 nett! Every reason to make a trip down to Bar Bar Black Sheep at Holland Village. If you need some recommendations on what to order, we will share them with you in just a bit!

So, let’s recap how Bar Bar Black Sheep’s concept works – you pick whatever you want from the extensive menu, both drinks and food, and the various kitchens will prep your orders, and you pay for them in a single bill upon leaving. Even if you go with a bunch of friends who all have a taste for different cuisines, orders can be placed together and payment can be made together too.

The usual Bar Bar Black Sheep has Northern Indian, Thai and Western kitchens. But at the all-new Holland Village outlet, expect a large Japanese menu of comfort snacks and main courses. That is on top of its Northern Indian Cuisine and Western cuisine, of course. You will be spoilt with drinks choices too, but that is for later part of our story.

BAR BAR BLACK SHEEP JAPANESE IZAKAYA

Let us first share with you some of our favourites from the new Japanese menu. First up is the Teriyaki Chicken (S$7.90) – a unanimous decision among us for its succulent chicken thigh with sweet teriyaki sauce. Nothing fanciful about this dish. In fact, it is not even photogenic! But we assure you it is one item you must try.

There are other teriyaki items that are splendid for sharing too, and if you love scallops as much as we do, go for the Scallop Teriyaki (S$10.90) – plump, juicy treasure of the sea, stir-fried with signature teriyaki sauce, onions and shiitake mushrooms.

Then, there is the donburi section. A good donburi is one that is filling and comforting. No frills too; just a simple bowl of rice and your preferred meat. Among the many options, we liked the Unagi Don. At only S$13.90, it is unbelievably affordable and you get a decent serving of grilled eel atop premium Japanese rice and pickles. We often gripe about the lack of affordable unajyu in Singapore, but Bar Bar, thank you for hearing our cries! We will be back for this!

Other dons that are worth ordering are Ribeye Beef Don (S$12.90), Omurice (S$10.90) and Curry Katsu Don (S$11.90). Aren’t they all so astoundingly affordable?

Over on the yakitori column, we got so excited because, what is there to not love about Japanese skewers? They make great beer snacks, too. Of all the sticks, we loved the Mentai Scallop (S$6.90) best. Other classic skewers include the Pork Belly + Leek (S$4.90), Shiitake Mushrooms (S$4.90) and Ishiyaki Beef (S$7.90). All prices stated are for a serving of two sticks.

BAR BAR BLACK SHEEP INDIAN & EUROPEAN KITCHENS

As mentioned, Bar Bar Black Sheep at Holland Village also has the usual European and Northern Indian kitchens. Oh, how can we miss the Butter Chicken (S$12)? A stellar signature all these years, a serving of Butter Chicken is marvelous with naans of your choice – prices range from S$2.40 to S$6. But of course, we’d grab beer with our chicken too. Now, we just need Real Madrid to score that goal and our nights would be perfect.

Or would you prefer to spend your night with burgers? Hanging out with the bros mean you need badass burgers and beers, and sure, Bar Bar Black Sheep has a list of gourmet burgers. The bestseller is the Sautéed Mushroom + Bacon Cheeseburger that is served with a sunny side-up egg and fries and coleslaw. At S$16.90, this is bang for your buck.

Other Western dishes that are exclusive to the Holland Village outlet are the Seafood Pizza (S$12.90), Crispy Duck Confit (S$24.90), Scandi Salmon (S$19.90) and Squid Ink Pasta with Tiger Prawns (S$14.90).

MANOR BAR

Tucked away on level two of Gem Bar (take the flight of stairs to the right of the entrance), there are no signs to this secluded speakeasy—it’s for people in the know. Offering a list of bespoke cocktails specially crafted by former Bitters & Love head bartender, Din Hassan (who has since left the Manor Bar) and current head bartender, Alfee Zulkiflee, these boys have only one rule—keep the guests happy. Which isn’t difficult with a drinks list of over 40 artisanal whiskies and more than a dozen craft gins.

There are no bad cocktails here, so you’ll want to have one of everything. Each of these concoctions are crafted with thought-provoking detail—one can tell from the very first sip. An excellent choice is Asian inspired rum-based cocktail Nourishing Soup (S$20) that pairs Yellow Chartreuse with fresh lime juice to bring out distinct notes of violet and honey accented by star anise. For a multi-layered experience, The Curator (S$20) delicately balances nuances of caramel and burnt vanilla, against an oaky peatiness with subtle finishes of mint and citrus fruit. A piece of advice: eat something (lessens the next-day wallop).

NUTMEG & CLOVE

Paying homage to the rich history of Ann Siang Hill is Nutmeg & Clove, housed in a heritage building owned by one of Singapore’s oldest Cantonese clan associations. Fun fact: Ann Siang Hill used to be a nutmeg and clove plantation—hence its moniker. Featured widely in its menu are Asian flavors and spices, and of course, nutmeg and cloves. Inside, the bar resembles a traditional Chinese medicine shop with marked cabinets featuring bottles of craft spirits in place of Chinese herbs.

OPERATION DAGGER

Probably the closest thing we’ve got to an old fashioned speakeasy is Operation Dagger. Don’t bother trying to find them online—they don’t dig mainstream social media—yep, it’s that cool. Even with an address, locating the bar is a task in itself. This under-the-radar speakeasy has no signs, so keep your eyes peeled for their logo scrawled on the wall. You’ll feel a little apprehensive—you should. Venture down a dark flight of steps and arrive at an open space with a smorgasbord of light bulbs dangling above. That’s when you’ll see the bar—and behind it, rows of brown glass bottles tagged with handwritten labels—you won’t recognize any; all their spirits are distilled in-house.

Just when you think this is as cool as it gets, head bartender Luke Whearty will whip out a stunning array of cocktails that’s a feast for the eyes, and your palate. Drink mulled wine (S$22). It’s good for you. Or at least, it’ll feel like it is. Warm, soothing and bittersweet with a hint of citrus and dried mandarin that will leave your insides feeling warm and fuzzy. Next, order an egg (S$25), where the yolks are vacuum-sealed overnight with dark rum and sugar before adding in house-made salted egg yolk liqueur and salted caramel, and smoked with star anise and toasted hay. Sweet, savory and salty (with a kick of alcohol)—just how we like our eggs done. You’ll want to bring your friends here—they’ll worship you for it. You can thank us later.

Ah yes, the stiff one; that liquid concoction one craves for ever so once in a while when the toil of work bares down on you—hard. Located along Boat Quay, Ah Sam Cold Drink Stall welcomes all who seeks a good tipple (or two) to lounge on level two as you take in tranquil views of the Singapore River.

Formerly of Jigger & Pony, owner-bartender Samuel Wong (better known as ‘Ah Sam’) helms the bar with Diplomatico World Tournament 2013 Singapore winner, Eugene Chua, to deliver classic-driven bespoke cocktails that are intoxicatingly potent—it seems they don’t hold back on tipping the bottle over (but we ain’t complaining). A saving grace that liberates one from the stress of work is Old Pal (S$20)—bringing together subtle bitter and herbaceous notes of Campari and dry vermouth, and the toasty nuttiness of rye whiskey. Disclaimer: if you’re a lightweight (drinker), this probably isn’t the place for you.

FIVE BAR IZAKAYA – BEST FOR CHEAP DRINKS & LIVE ENTERTAINMENT

A common misconception: working in a corporate-driven environment (and dressing well) does not necessarily mean one earns more than average. If you’re looking for a watering hole that understands your needs; having a drink without burning a hole in the wallet, this is it. The extensive menu may cease to overwhelm—there’s 13 beers; bottled and on tap, and over 30 spirits available—even sake, wine and bubbly are not spared from the list.

Having said that, quantity does not truncate quality. Premium spirits such as Hendrick’s Gin, Macallan 18 years, Martell Cordon Bleu, Nikka From The Barrel, and The Glenlivet 18 years are also stocked at the bar. While that’s great, what really draws the crowd in are their prices—one of the lowest around. A glass (300ml) of Asahi Super Dry will set one back S$5, while a tower (3l) is priced at S$50. If beer’s not your thing, house pour reds, whites, and spirits are all priced at S$5 per glass. There’s also live music performances Monday to Friday from 7pm. Heads up: it gets busy from 6:30pm, so make your way down early.

COOK AND BREW – WINES OF THE WORLD BY WESTIN

Located in close proximity to numerous banks, themed bar The Bank Bar exudes a chic and premium vibe with its lofty bar area and high ceiling, private cigar lounge and quality cuisine. Happy hour runs from 11am to 8pm daily, saving you an average of 20% off your bill. In line with its moniker, signature cocktails are quirkily named after financial terms like ‘offshore account’; a twist on the mojito by adding raspberries and citrus to the concoction, and ‘liquidated damages’, consisting of Rémy Martin VSOP, lemon juice and simple syrup—thankfully priced affordably (both $18) so your wallet won’t experience either. We especially enjoyed the G&T ($19) with a touch of mint and grapefruit for a bittersweet yet refreshing profile, as well as the sweet and citrusy smash and grab ($18)—a rum-based cocktail of muddled pineapple, Italian basil and lime.

THE SECRET MERMAID – BEST FOR QUALITY AMERICAN SPIRITS
