CREAMIER

Creamier is a name that comes to your mind whenever you think of an ice cream cafe to go to in Singapore. Besides their tasty waffles, their ice cream is the main star of the show. Flavours such as Earl Grey Lavender, Sea Salt Gula Melaka and Strawberry Lime Sorbet are very popular.

Conveniently located at Bishan’s bus interchange, Denzy Gelato is the perfect stop to beat the heat before travelling Singapore. With interesting flavours such as Elderflower Mojito and Hojicha, you will be left wanting more than just a scoop! You can enjoy their ice cream with a crispy waffle too.

ICE EDGE CAFE

Ice Edge Cafe has been around for as long as we can remember. Although the prices of the ice cream here are a little steep, there is no doubt that they have one of the most extensive ranges of ice cream flavours ever. Our personal favourite here is the Mao Shan Wang flavour.

SUNDAY FOLKS

Sunday Folks is the sister cafe of Creamier and might we say one of the best success stories to come from an ice cream cafe here in Singapore. After a long time since their opening, they are still seeing massive crowds even on non-peak hours at their Chip Bee Gardens outlet. Their soft-serve here is pretty much one of our favourites ever.

Opened by a local celebrity, we haven’t heard much about The Milky Way Homemade Ice Cream and Coffee since then. However, we have heard people go gaga over their Sicilian Pistachio and Smurf flavours, which also happens to be some of their bestselling ones.

TOM’S PALETTE

Local ice cream parlour Tom’s Palette within Shaw Towers specialises in homemade ice cream that comes in a range of exotic flavours. The cafe has been satisfying sweet tooths with ice cream made from scratch and whacky flavours include Nasi Lemak, Salted Egg Yolk and Ang Moh Carrot Cake.

TWENTY GRAMMES

Twenty Grammes has long been a fan-favourite for their extremely Instagrammable desserts. Thankfully for them, their waffles and ice cream selection actually did live up to its hype and they were definitely more than decent. Pick from their regular scooped ice cream or a lighter soft-serve.

UDDERS

Situated along East Coast Road, Birds of Paradise Gelato Boutique is a delightful ice cream paradise that is highly popular on social media for its extremely photogenic interior and of course, its amazing ice cream.

A prominent face in the vibrant Katong food scene, you will find signature flavours of ice cream inspired by natural botanical elements in this humble parlour. 

Two flavours that got our attention were the Spiced Pear and Strawberry Basil. The former is a heavenly combination of William pears, cinnamon and star anise; the latter is a tarty melange of farmed and wild strawberries rounded off with the mellow tones of an organic basil infusion.

Apart from being extremely refreshing on the palate, the flavours of pear in the Spiced Pear were in perfect harmony with the acidity of the cinnamon and star anise. Likewise, the Strawberry Basil was incredibly light and had undertones of basil in its scent and taste.

At S$4.70 for a single scoop or S$7.70 for a double, this is a sweet deal for ice cream bursting with so much goodness and flavour. 

Other exciting flavours to look out for include the Pandan, Vanilla Fig Swirl, White Chrysanthemum, Lychee Raspberry, Mango Sorbet, Mint Cacao and Lemongrass Ginger.

Enjoy your ice cream in a cup or in their signature Thyme Cone with a top-up of S$1. The Thyme Cone is made from waffle batter with infusions of thyme and all cones are made in-house daily.

A charming ice cream parlour that offers interesting flavours in the East; we love this combination.
