China’s most popular tea brand HEYTEA is opening its 4th and newest outlet at VivoCity on 9 January 2021. Fans of the bubble tea brand who are staying in the South in Singapore will no longer have to travel to town to get their bubble tea fix.

The original inventor of cheese tea, HEYTEA first started out as a humble tea shop in the Guangdong province in 2012. Since then, the brand has expanded to more than a hundred shops in China including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhen and Shenzhen.

The new VivoCity outlet is HEYTEA’s first-ever convenience store concept in Singapore, a first of its kind in Singapore. The new outlet mirrors the functionality of a convenience store not just in design, but with the launch of the HEYTEA GO app, which provides a fuss-free experience in ordering your favourite HEYTEA drink.

Prior to arriving at the store, you can skip the queue and log-on to the HEYTEA GO app to order in advance. The “Order On The Go” service, available at all stores, provides an estimated wait time and sends push notifications to notify customers when their drinks are ready for collection.

To celebrate the opening of HEYTEA’s at VivoCity, the store will be running a one-for-one deal on everything off the menu for a limited time from 9 January 2021 to 11 January 2021. There will also be free merchandise given out to the first 150 customers daily from 9 January 2021 to 13 January 2021.

HEYTEA Singapore has 3 other outlets at ION Orchard, The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands and Westgate.

The news of the bubble tea shops closing during the enhanced Circuit Breaker rules broke the hearts of many Singaporeans, and it led to the frantic last-minute bubble tea orders on the final day of these bubble tea stores’ operations. The demand for the popular drink was so high that intense fights broke out, causing both delivery drivers and bubble tea store staffs massive headaches.

However, we have some good news for all your bubble tea fanatics: LiHO is still available for bubble tea delivery on GrabFood!

The popular bubble tea chain in Singapore will be partnering with F&B outlets that are under the same parent company, Royal T Group; so not only do you get to have your much-loved cup of boba, you can also get yourself a hearty meal!

They have also recently created a new platform, Boss Happy Delivery, which delivers items for a few companies that are also under LiHO’s parent company.
We know that many Singaporeans were absolutely crushed when they found out that bubble tea shops were one of the affected F&B services during the extended Circuit Breaker. The desperation for that one last glorious cup of bubble tea was so strong that it led to an insane last-minute demand for it, leaving bubble tea shops and delivery riders swamped.

However, we have some good news for you, especially if you’re a fan of KOI: they may be providing bubble tea delivery soon!

The popular bubble tea brand hinted on Facebook that they will be partnering with Grain, for its bubble tea delivery. Grain is a food experience company that provides creative and wholesome on-demand meals and meal plans to consumers.

Jiggly, airy and soft, soufflé pancakes are one of the most legendary hybrids in the history of desserts. It doesn’t matter if you can barely stand after your meal — you’ll always have space for this lightweight indulgence.

Singapore has seen many cafes serving up these cloud-soft pancakes. People just can’t seem to get enough of them. But, just when you thought you’ve seen them all, another cafe strikes again. 19 Tea, a popular chain in South Korea known for its soufflé pancakes and tea has opened at Our Tampines Hub.

Their souffle pancakes are some of the most wallet-friendly ones we’ve seen — any one of them will set you back at less than $5!

19 Tea is a dainty little cafe offering a range of soufflé pancakes and milk tea drinks. Their interior is dressed in vibrant pinks and minimalistic touches, providing customers with a youthful, bright atmosphere.

We tried the signature Soufflé Pancakes in three flavours — Original (S$3.90), Matcha (S$4.20) and Tiramisu (S$4.20).

The Original Pancake was slathered in thick, milky cream and finished with a strawberry garnish that could have been a little bigger. The pancake itself was light and airy, but the cream sauce was a little too sweet for us.

Their matcha rendition was underwhelming, with the only thing setting it apart from the Original being a sprinkle of matcha powder atop. It would have been even better if the matcha powder was incorporated into the pancake batter itself.

As for their Tiramisu Pancake, there was nothing distinctively “tiramisu” about it, apart from the cocoa powder dusting. Nevertheless, it was still pretty delicious.

Of course, we couldn’t leave without getting one of their milk teas. We ordered their Signature Milk Tea (S$5.10), a classic brown sugar boba milk tea. Sadly, it missed the mark. The milk tea was too thin and the pearls were too dense.

Overall, we can’t see ourselves making a trip to Tampines just for 19Tea. But, if you’re looking for an aesthetic backdrop for an Instagrammable photo, this is the place to hit up.

NEW FAVOURITES AT NAYUKI

Making their timely debut in July 2019, Nayuki is introducing two new products to their menu. We had the privilege to try them, and here is what to expect.

You will love the Supreme Cheese Mixed Berries.

Fresh strawberries and strawberry purée are added alongside Nayuki’s Jasmine Tippy Tea to create this delicious concoction. The mixed berries complement the Jasmine Tippy Tea well. Refreshing, fruity and mellow, we thoroughly enjoyed the drink balanced flavour profiles.

If you’re a fan of pink, strawberries and cream, pair the Supreme Cheese Mixed Berries with the Strawberry Blush Mystique bread.

Soft Euro-bake is filled with fresh cream and topped with real fresh strawberries! Bright pink strawberry-flavoured chocolate is also drizzled on top of the bread, making it look even prettier. It’s the perfect pretty-in-pink pairing!

Another one that’s joining the Mystique range of bread is the Magic Mango Mystique.

This pillowy Soft-Euro Bread is filled with light cream and cubes of fresh mango. Every bite of this wonderful baked good was an enjoyable one. Don’t we all love mangoes?

Pair this fluffy bread with Nayuki’s Supreme Cheese Mango for a dynamic combination.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>//

AROMATIC COLD BREW TEAS

If milky drinks and fruity concoctions aren’t your cup of tea, try Nayuki’s range of Cold Brew Oolong Teas. They come in delicately labelled bottles with the various oolong tea leaves still in them!

They come in three different flavours: Frosted Cap Oolon, Green Oolong, and Golden Cicada Oolong. The different Oolong leaves are harvested from Alisan Mountain and Lugu Village in Taiwan; promising the most aromatic and full-bodied flavours. These teas are steeped for eight hours during preparation

Milksha is finally opening their very first Southeast Asian outlet in Singapore at Suntec City! Slated to open this weekend on 22nd of June at 11am, Milksha first arrived on our little red dot through their pop-up at Shilin Night Market at Kranji in April this year.

Possibly another strong contender for the title of “Best Bubble Tea” in Singapore, Milksha has already made waves in Taiwan, China and Hong Kong. Also known as “Milkshop” in Taiwan, Milksha is voted the best bubble tea by Taiwanese university students!

As the store’s brand suggests, Milksha places the utmost importance in the quality of milk used in their drinks. They utilise fresh milk from the owner’s dairy farm in Taiwan, however due to restrictions in Singapore, Greenfields from Indonesia is used instead.

Another factor that sets Milksha apart from the rest is their signature Honey Pearls. The pearls are made in Tainan before being transported over to be steeped for an hour in honey. Promising to deliver fresh pearls, the Honey Pearls are cooked in batches every two hours.
