Established in 2012, The Market Grill along Telok Ayer Street offers a menu of classic meat and seafood including signature flown-in live Boston Lobsters and seasonal cuts of steak.

What you can expect from The Market Grill by Unlisted Collection is hearty and delicious meat and seafood that are grilled to perfection by executive chef Kenneth Lin.

A pioneer to introduce lobster rolls in Singapore, The Market Grill dishes out a solid lobster roll. 500g of lobster are stuffed into a toasted brioche roll that is lightly coated with herbed mayonnaise. To complete the dish, the magnificent roll is paired with a side of crunchy green salad and thick golden fries.

This is one of the best lobster rolls that you can get in Singapore.

Other than their signature lobster roll, The Market Grill also offers fantastic whole lobsters, burgers and steaks.

You can enjoy the live Boston Lobsters in three different styles—steamed, char-grilled or Thermidor. The whole lobster is accompanied with garlic butter sauce, greens and mashed potatoes.

There are various steak cuts available on the menu including USDA Prime Striploin (S$68), Rangers Valley Ribeye (S$88) and Blackmore Wagyu Karubi (S$58) and each steak comes with onion confit, and mashed potato.

The steaks are seasoned with salt and pepper and superbly grilled on the ‘Woodstone’ charbroiler. It comes with Chimichurri or Béarnaise sauce, but there is really no need for any sauce when the steak is good on its own.

The dishes at The Market Grill are simple yet perfectly executed and super comforting. It is a place which will never disappoint you and you can always be assured of a great meal.

Filled with chunks of tender sweet lobster meat and coated with a blend of mouthwatering sauces such as mayonnaise in between a soft, top-split brioche bread, there is nothing not to love about lobster rolls. If you are on a hunt for the best lobster rolls in Singapore, you would know that the good ones come with heavy price tags that are not for all to digest.

Chunky Lobsters is a new lobster roll restaurant that has opened its doors at Oxley Tower that aims to make seafood affordable for the mass market. Think lobster rolls served in three ways (Chunky’s Original, Chunky’s Connecticut and Chunky’s Cheezy) —all priced at only S$16 nett per roll!

CHUNKY LOBSTERS CONCEPT

Chunky Lobsters is more of a takeaway counter than an actual dining restaurant as seats are pretty limited and would probably be filled during peak hours, especially when the lunch crowd starts filing in on weekdays.

Instead of dicing the lobster meat up into smaller pieces, which is typically what they do for lobster rolls, the entire hunk of lobster flesh is placed in between hot buttered brioche buns, confirming that what you’re getting is real-deal lobster meat—in addition to the pleasant chew.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

Chunky’s Cheezy (S$16) leaves your fingers slippery with aromatic butter and one bite into the lobster roll will have the gooey folds of cheese oozing out at once. We highly recommend having this decadent roll with their Lobster Bisque (S$3.90) for the complete experience.

Talk about hidden gems and what do you think of? Somewhere inaccessible, somewhere inconspicuous, or somewhere secretive that is not known to many?

The Naked Finn might just be all of that. This beautiful restaurant in Singapore has been around for a while, and we thought you might want to know they dish out awesome lobster rolls, prawn noodles and other seafood dishes.

Sitting within Gillman Barracks at Alexandra Road, getting there might be a challenge; doesn’t help that they do not have a visible signboard too. But take that drive, look out for a glass unit of sort that is covered with cascading vines, and there you have it—The Naked Finn. Not so naked, after all.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

They do not add MSG, and the result is a balanced and delicious stock. The prawns were fresh, but it was the fork tender berkshire (kurobuta) pork belly that stole the show.

Granted, not everyone will be willing to spend so much on a bowl of prawn noodles, but if you can look beyond the fact that this is not your ordinary hae mee, you would appreciate that this is a dish which has the potential to represent Singapore cuisine if someone were to open a Singapore restaurant in cities such as New York or London.

We will be back to try the dinner set for 2 (S$138) which includes Kang Kong, Wild-caught Baby Squid, Wild-caught New Zealand Littleneck, Giant Pacific Sea Scallop, Locally-Farmed Barramundi and Farmed Tiger Prawns.

An oasis of calmness in the middle of Singapore’s Central Business District. The Lobby Lounge at The Westin Singapore never fails to make us feel relaxed upon stepping in.

The Westin Singapore has just launched one of the bests – if not the best – afternoon tea sets in Singapore. Highlights of the Seafood & Champagne Afternoon Tea include a whole Poached Canadian Lobster, two freshly shucked oysters, Lobster Rolls, Soft Shell Crab, Éclairs, Chocolate Ganache Cake, Tarts, as well as two glasses of Veuve Clicquot Champagne. It is well-priced at S$85++ for two – which is a real steal for the sheer quality that you will be getting.

While the idea of a typical English afternoon tea with freshly baked scones, finger sandwiches and tea is always appealing, we have to say that the new afternoon tea set by the Lobby Lounge at The Westin Singapore is in a league of its own.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

At S$18.50, you get a Lobster BLT with butter poached Boston lobster tail, Louisiana hot sauce mayo, rocket, wasabi sprouts, fresh tomato, flying fish roe, streaky bacon sandwiched between toasted sesame bun. Seriously, we have no ideas how the folks at Department of Caffeine can price it so cheap, but no one is complaining. It just gives us more reason to pig out, that’s it. Same for you, right?

The Lobster Club (S$21.50) is the full works topped with butter poached Boston lobster tail, tangy mayo, streaky bacon, and sunny side up on a toasted brioche. We are salivating just at the thought of it.

Both options come with crinkle cut fries, and we strongly recommend you to “upsize” it with extra lobster (S$5). For the full lobster experience, you can also get a cup of homemade Lobster Bisque with creme fraiche and croutons at only S$4.

Now, pick up your phone and make your reservation pronto.

The menu itself reads “Lobster Shack”, and true to its slogan, you are in for some serious lobster roll business. Platypus Lobster Shack is probably the only restaurant in Singapore that offers you nine different lobster rolls – from the traditional to many modern and innovative takes like Smoked Paprika or Red Miso & Sesame rolls.

All lobster rolls (S$19.90 ala carte, S$22.90 for a set with salad & truffle potato chips) are served during dinner only and they come with approximately 100g of Boston lobster, but the flesh is chunky enough and fills up every bun. But one is not filling enough, especially for the guys. We wished the folks at Platypus would put in more effort in the presentation of the food, but for the price and its fresh supply of Boston lobsters, this is a restaurant we will return just for lobster rolls.

Equally satisfying, if not even better, than the lobster roll is the Crustacean Bowl (S$19/starter, S$26/main) – a delicious rice bowl of butter-poached lobster topped with uni creme, caviar and char-grilled cheddar cheese.

So the lobster roll trend has finally hit our shores! We have been waiting for this day to come, and the only times we could ever satisfy this craving used to be those holidays to New York City and London. But gone are those days when we’d pin so hard for a good lobster roll fix and had to sleep off the craving, because much to our delight, more restaurants in singapore are rounding up their menus with their own renditions of this ever popular dish. Or snack. Whichever is more appropriate, depending on your appetite. One is definitely not enough for us.

Now, why is lobster roll so popular, you may wonder. We’d tell you exactly just why – chunks of juicy lobster meat doused in mayonnaise that sits within a toasted buttered brioche, every mouthful bursting with sweetness from the fresh flesh; how do you even go back to normality once you’ve had a good lobster roll?

It took us a while to sum this post up, because we wanted to try the popular ones in town before we present you this list that you should bookmark. We went on a trail to scout for the best versions, and here, we share with you the best lobster rolls in singapore that you must try:

Dancing Crab’s Lobster Roll (S$30) comes with 100g of lobster claw and tail meat served in a superb brioche bun – oozing with buttery aroma and toasted with a fragrant char, we dare say it is even better than the bun we had at London’s Burger & Lobster. And what makes it even better is the addictive Cajun fries that come along with it.

Department of Caffeine (D.O.C.) has recently introduced two lobster dishes that everyone must try.
#3 LUKE’S OYSTER BAR & CHOP HOUSE

Known for its seafood cocktails and oysters, it is by no surprise that Luke’s Chophouse does an impressive rendition of the classic lobster roll. Dining at this New York-esque restaurant is an indulgent experience.

Apart from their impressive array of oysters, what is also worth trying is their Lobster Sliders which is served only during lunch. At S$45, you get a generous serving of sweet lobster flesh – from a 500g maine lobster – tucked nicely in a tall and thick brioche that is toasted to a pretty golden shade. Like how a happy marriage should be, Luke’s Lobster Sliders comes complete with a portion of good fries. So sinfully good.

#6 THE CLIFFORD PIER

A relatively new addition to Singapore’s dining scene, this elegant restaurant sits on a heritage site, and is full of charm and posh. It has a specially curated menu that reflects a mixture of local favourites and international classics. And yes, they have lobster roll (S$32) too.

A lovely serving of 150-200g of lobster meat generously coated with hollandaise sauce, The Clifford Pier’s lobster roll is a relatively value-for-money option. Coupled with shoestring truffle fries and a side salad, it makes a hearty meal.

#7 THE MARKET GRILL

This is quite an undiscovered gem. Hidden in one of those little units along Telok Ayer Street, The Market Grill is a small but sexy diner that reminds us very much of London. Their Lobster Roll (S$45) is also the best we have had in singapore.

Expect nothing short of a fantastic serving – you get generous chunks of meat from a 500g lobster. Lighted coated with mayonnaise, the meat is snuggled in a pillow of soft brioche that is crispy on the surface, and warm and buttery on the inside. It comes complete with a side salad and fries.
