Singapore’s efforts in promoting greenery and conserving wildlife have increased steadily over the past few years and the Lion City is now home to an abundance of natural landscapes! Singapore’s largest freshwater marshland, Kranji Marshes, is the latest addition.

Located along Kranji Reservoir, the 56.8-hectare marshland is habitat to a wide variety of flora and fauna. Conservation actually commenced in 2011 to protect the region’s rich biodiversity and the environmental project has been a success.

Kranji Marshes officially opened its doors to public on Monday, 01 Feb 2016 and offers visitors a rare glimpse of Singapore’s countryside.
