Fly Scoot from Singapore to Sydney

FlyScoot

Doing something for the first time is always a special moment. Like reading Harry Potter for the first time; finally seeing your idol in person; tasting foie gras when you have no idea what the alien-looking thing is; or trying skydiving for the very first time. They are life changing experiences that make you go “oh my God”, and they are memories that will stay with you for a very long time.

Joining Scoot on their inaugural flight from Singapore to Sydney, is definitely one of those memorable life experiences. For those who don’t know, Scoot (a subsidiary of Singapore Airlines) is a new low cost carrier which operates on medium and long-haul routes to destinations like Sydney, Gold Coast, Tianjin, and Bangkok.

KU DÉ TA Marina Bay Sands Singapore

Ku De Ta Singapore

Perched at the top of Marina Bay Sands, KU DÉ TA has one of the best dining spots in Singapore. Contrary to popular belief, Ku De Ta is not a fine dining restaurant; it is positioned as a casual dining place where you can get a nice cocktail and order a few dishes to share with friends.

That said, a meal at Ku De Ta is not what you would consider to be ‘cheap’. One is expected to spend at least $70/pax (without drinks). The price, of course, might put off many people. But when you get to enjoy the panoramic view of Singapore’s skyline for the whole night, this is certainly a place that is worth splurging on.

Three Tea Recommendations & Health benefits

Tea Recommendations

Perhaps the other reason to tea drinking could be for those who enjoy the aromatic fragrance of the tealeaves before taking a sip of warm indulgence. The action is a little similar to how we drink wine.

Below we have included three tea recommendations and their health benefits.

Restaurant Ember at Hotel 1929

Restaurant Ember

Words and photos by Sarah Lim.

You know the food has to be good when a restaurant gets booked well in advance despite being housed in a location away from the bustling office crowd. The tranquillity is lost once inside the restaurant. A waitress piles her arms with several dishes, hastily serving them up before disappearing behind the kitchen doors.

Restaurant Ember at Hotel 1929 serves modern European cuisine, and it is not a secret that they have one of the best set lunches in Singapore.
