Punggol is a residential neighbourhood with modern facilities and entertainment; there are now more people venturing to Punggol to explore the latest happenings in the North East side of Singapore—and of course, to indulge in some seriously good bites as well.

Wander around The Punggol Settlement and catch amazing sunsets there—the scenic view of red and pink hues in the sky is a sight to behold for sure. Even shopping has turned up a notch after the opening of Waterway Point, a massive mall that has basically everything you would need.

Here are 7 Things You Can Do in Punggol—Shopping Sprees, Food Adventures, Movies & More!

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

#1 WATERWAY POINT HAS EVERYTHING YOU WILL EVER NEED

Residents of Punggol and Sengkang have a town of their own.

With the addition of major brands to Waterway Point such as H&M, Cotton On, Uniqlo, Daiso and so much more, you do not need to head down to Orchard Road for shopping anymore!

#2 CYCLE AT CONEY ISLAND

A 10-minute walk from The Punggol Settlement, Coney Island is a picturesque island with majestic trees you do not normally see on the streets of Singapore. It is extremely accessible whether you are going by foot or cycling.

If you wish to choose the latter, there are bicycle rental shops nearby that rent out bicycles on hourly rates.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

Ever since Guschlbauer first opened in 1919, the Austrian brand has dedicated itself to the art of making delicious, high-quality pastries made using ingredients carefully sourced from all over the world. The result? Supreme tasting bakes that never fail to delight.

The traditional bakery set sail in Austria, but soon splashed all across Europe, Canada, Hong Kong, Korea and made waves wherever it went.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>//

TOAST

Fancy bakes aside, you can also feel free to pick up a loaf or two of their house-baked toast loaves. Flavours include Original (S$3.50), Cheese (S$4.80) and Whole Wheat (S$5.60).

If you find yourself craving for something decadent and sweet over the weekend, why not make your way down to Punggol Waterway Point to snag yourself one of these bad boys for yourself?

As part of their opening promotion, they will be giving away 500 free Devil Cheese Buns each day between 09 to 11 March 2018, starting from as early as 10am!

Fresh batches of buns come out by the hour (or less), so you can bet that each fluffy quarter cheese bun is sure to taste excellent each time!

If you are wondering whether it is worth the long journey to Punggol for the food there, this guide will be your answer. Punggol has two major food areas – @Punggol and The Punggol Settlement.

People flock to @Punggol for the wholesome food at popular cafe Whisk & Paddle, or to have a pint of beer at Frienzie. The Punggol Settlement is always packed during dinner hours, where car park lots will steadily fill up by 7pm. Even though the location is not ideal, the food here is definitely worth travelling for.

This is your definitive guide to all the good food you can find in the Punggol neighbourhood.
