China’s most popular tea brand HEYTEA is opening its 4th and newest outlet at VivoCity on 9 January 2021. Fans of the bubble tea brand who are staying in the South in Singapore will no longer have to travel to town to get their bubble tea fix.

The original inventor of cheese tea, HEYTEA first started out as a humble tea shop in the Guangdong province in 2012. Since then, the brand has expanded to more than a hundred shops in China including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhen and Shenzhen.

The new VivoCity outlet is HEYTEA’s first-ever convenience store concept in Singapore, a first of its kind in Singapore. The new outlet mirrors the functionality of a convenience store not just in design, but with the launch of the HEYTEA GO app, which provides a fuss-free experience in ordering your favourite HEYTEA drink.

Prior to arriving at the store, you can skip the queue and log-on to the HEYTEA GO app to order in advance. The “Order On The Go” service, available at all stores, provides an estimated wait time and sends push notifications to notify customers when their drinks are ready for collection.

To celebrate the opening of HEYTEA’s at VivoCity, the store will be running a one-for-one deal on everything off the menu for a limited time from 9 January 2021 to 11 January 2021. There will also be free merchandise given out to the first 150 customers daily from 9 January 2021 to 13 January 2021.

STRAWBERRY MILK WITH PANNA COTTA 

Similar to a strawberry milkshake, the Strawberry Milk Tea with Panna Cotta (S$7.80) is a great selection for those who like their drinks sweet.

First blended with fresh strawberries for a tinge of tartness, then laden with their sweet signature gelatinous cream base, the creamy drink is a well-balanced creation not to be missed.

BLACK MILK TEA WITH PANNA COTTA 

One of Jay Chou’s all-time favourite milk teas, the Black Milk Tea with Panna Cotta (S$7) is a caffeine-free drink containing two luscious layers and edible bits of vanilla seeds. 

It is first prepared with a strong black tea, then mellowed in flavour from the addition of milk and sugar.

CREAM CHEESE TEAS 

Do not miss out on their unique cream cheese teas! There are three steps to enjoying this drink: first, sip on their cream cheese to get a sweet burst of flavour, stir the drink well, then guzzle down the rest of the beverage.

BLACK MILK TEA WITH CRÈME BRÛLÉE

Machi Machi’s signature Black Milk Tea with Crème Brûlée (S$5.80) — coined the legendary “God of Cheese Tea” — skyrocketed the brand to international success. Heads up for Jay Chou fans: this drink is another one of his favourites!

Served with a frothy layer of thick, caramelised cream cheese atop a milky beverage, the cheese is torched to give the drink an aromatic, roasted flavour.

BLUEBERRY AND STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE WITH CREAM CHEESE

We recommend the Blueberry & Strawberry Smoothie with Cream Cheese (S$7) if you want a refreshing pick-me-up. This fruity beverage is light on the palate and is well-blended with a handful of strawberries and blueberries, then topped with a layer of cream cheese.

CREAM CHEESE OOLONG TIEGUANYIN TEA 

The Cream Chinese Oolong Tieguanyin Tea (S$5.50) is a delicate, nutty tea infused with fragrant floral notes. This is a good option for those who enjoy an aromatic, light-bodied brew.

Balancing out the slight bitter aftertaste from the oolong tea is the rich flavour of cream cheese, making it the perfect savoury beverage.
