Over time, many variations have popped up, including Chinese and Indonesian variations.

Established in 1979, Punggol Nasi Lemak is one of the most popular nasi lemak in Singapore and the fact that people are still raving about this brand and queueing for their nasi lemak sets at their 3 outlets just prove our point.

Prepared using an authentic family recipe since they started, Lee Wee & Brothers has distinctive local flavours that are always preserved in their nasi lemak sets. Their banana leaf prawn otah is moist, tasty and so deliciously yummy, making it stand out from the other nasi lemak stalls.

MIZZY CORNER

One of Changi Village’s most famous nasi lemak stalls, Mizzy Corner is also one of the best we’ve had. What we love about their nasi lemak is the fact that they use basmati rice instead of the regular jasmine rice, making it softer and fluffier, with hints of pandan and coconut, just the way we like it! The sambal is also super delicious, with a harmonious blend of sweet, savoury, and spicy elements.

Islandwide nasi lemak delivery is offered with a minimum spend of S$20. A delivery fee of S$7 is applicable. Use the code “Super5” at checkout for 5% off your nasi lemak order if it exceeds S$40. A delivery surcharge of S$3 applies if you order on eve of and on public holidays. Order here.

QIJI

Qiji is well-known for serving local Singaporean delights that include their nasi lemak sets. Their nasi lemak variation is more Chinese than Malay, so if you’re a fan of Singaporean Chinese nasi lemak that comes with green-coloured rice infused with coconut milk and pandan leaves, fish cakes, and a tasty deep-fried chicken wing, Qiji will hit the right notes for you.

Islandwide delivery for nasi lemak is offered if you spend a minimum of S$40. A delivery fee of S$28 is applicable. You can find more information on their website here, where they answer FAQs.

THE COCONUT CLUB

This restaurant is famous for selling super atas gluten-free (and MSG-free!) nasi lemak that costs a whopping S$16.30 for their regular chicken leg set. But don’t be deterred by the sky-high prices, their high-quality ingredients definitely make up for it. The owners spent 2 years sourcing for the best coconuts and refining their nasi lemak recipe before they opened The Coconut Club.

On this website, nasi lemak islandwide delivery is offered with a minimum spend of S$60. A delivery fee of S$9 applies too.

CRAVE

Crave houses the widely famous Original Adam Road Nasi Lemak by Selera Rasa. There are over 30+ stores scattered across the island, so you are bound to find one at a nearby mall. We recommend ordering the Nasi Lemak Royale set that consists of fragrant basmati rice, crispy chicken wing, crunchy fish fillet, and deep-fried bergedil.

If you still want to opt for nasi lemak islandwide delivery, you may order here. A minimum order of S$30 is required, with a delivery fee of S$5.

NASI LEMAK AYAM TALIWANG

If you’re a fan of the Indonesian variation of nasi lemak, Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang is the ideal eatery to order from. Their signature dish is, of course, the Nasi Lemak Ayam Taliwang Set, featuring a spicy, flavourful grilled chicken originating from Lombok, Indonesia. The set also includes tempeh, ikan bilis, kang kong, and sweet Taliwang sambal chilli that is made in-house.

Islandwide delivery is offered on https://nasilemakayamtaliwang.oddle.me/en_SG/. You have to make a minimum order of S$25. A delivery fee of S$9 is also applicable when you order their nasi lemak.

CHONG PANG NASI LEMAK

Established in 1973 as a humble hawker stall in Chong Pang Village Hawker Centre, Chong Pang Nasi Lemak is a household name that sees crowds flocking to this stall, eager to get their hands on a nasi lemak plate on the daily. Even during this Circuit Breaker period, delivery slots are filling up fast. Be sure to get their Set D, which is a standout set as it includes sweet and sour chicken that’s not usually seen in nasi lemak sets.

As of now, they deliver to areas such as Punggol, Sengkang, Bukit Batok, Bukit Panjang, Choa Chu Kang, Woodlands, Admiralty, Sembawang, Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Toa Payoh, and Tampines. WhatsApp your orders to +65 9426 6755. You are only allowed to order a maximum of 8 nasi lemak packets. Visit their Facebook page for more information.

Photo Credit: Kampung Kia Nasi Lemak

KAMPUNG KIA NASI LEMAK

Butterfly pea-infused Malaysian-style nasi lemak. Need we say more? This nasi lemak set is so eye-catching that we just had to order a plate for ourselves. Their Rendang Chicken Nasi Lemak set is a must-try, the rendang being delectable with a great texture. Their sambal chilli is on the sweeter side and not so spicy, so if you’re a fan of sweeter sambal, this might just do it for you.

Do check their Facebook page for a full list of the areas they deliver to. A minimum order of S$20 is required, with a S$5 delivery fee. If your order exceeds S$35, you are entitled to free nasi lemak delivery. Alternatively, they are available on GrabFood, Foodpanda, and Deliveroo.

An oasis hidden away from the ever-buzzing activity of our little island nation, Bollywood Veggies is a lush and rustic getaway situated in the countryside of Kranji to allow visitors to appreciate the simple yet often overlooked pleasures in life.

Bollywood Veggies was started in 2000 by Ivy Singh and her husband, Lim Ho Seng. Named after Ivy’s half-Indian heritage, and inspired by the lively personality of Bollywood, the 10-acre wide farm boasts plenty of family-friendly activities to spend the day with the kids.

Educate the children on how fruits and vegetables are grown and end up on the shelves in our supermarkets, or simply take in the many breathtaking shades of green here. The farm has a wide diversity of plants and edibles grown for visitors to explore.

Set with a rustic touch, with charming signs that are painted by hand in shades of dark green and warm yellow, Bollywood Veggies is a true gem of Singapore. The flourishing plant life here is grown without the use of pesticides, growth hormones and chemical fertilisers. This is to ensure that the local produce that is shared for eating is readily consumable.

Ivy places heavy emphasis on protecting our natural environments in Singapore, which is also why Bollywood Veggies offers a detailed farm tour amongst the myriad of other fun activities you can discover here.

Join the Bollywood farm tour led by Bollywood Veggies’ experienced and friendly guides where visitors are invited to use all of their senses to discover the thriving plant life the farm has to offer. Touch, smell and taste the herbs, spices, fruits and vegetables; we can think of no better way to experience the farm.

As Singapore’s largest producer of bananas, Bollywood Veggies has over 20 types of bananas grown here! You definitely have to try some while on the tour, these bananas have a creamy texture and a natural sweetness, unlike other bananas.

Amongst a multitude of lessons on which herbs help to cure certain ailments and gawking at the abundance of shrubbery here, a valuable takeaway from the farm tour would be the message of sustainable living and planet-friendly farming.

Regardless of your age, background or nationality, there is something we can all learn at Bollywood Veggies to benefit and protect the natural habitats surrounding us. From plant potting sessions to terrarium making and rice planting in the paddies, this farm is filled with exciting activities that the whole family can discover.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>//

After a long and hot day out in the farm, head over to Poison Ivy Bistro. Opened in 2005, the bistro features farm-to-table local and fusion dishes and provides air conditioning; a welcoming escape from the scorching heat outside.

A popular hangout amongst locals, we were not surprised to see the place filled with regulars on a weekday for lunchtime.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>//

The Nasi Lemak Platter (S$12) was served to us with generous portions that enticed our senses the moment it reached our table. The fragrant rice stood out to us instantly, being beautifully coloured in a blue that is naturally derived from organic blue pea flowers.

We enjoyed pairing the sayur lodeh with the rice as it made for an aromatic combination due to the presence of coconut in both.

The Warrior’s Thali (S$14) is for those looking for something even heartier and more wholesome with the plethora of side dishes that it is served with.

Dig into the Warrior’s Fish, which is a dish of battered deep-fried fish with a tangy sweet and sour sauce. Lightly battered and non-greasy, the moringa tempura was a delight to munch on with the fresh and crisp earthy taste.

We also had the Chicken Curry (S$12) which was served with a side of oven-baked prata.

An unconventional method of preparing prata, the flatbread was crispier and flakier which complemented the chicken curry nicely.
