Kam’s Roast Goose is set to open an eatery in Singapore during the first quarter of 2016, but both the exact opening date and location remain unknown to the public. We can’t wait already!

Mak’s Noodle is a household name amongst Hong Kong natives and even foreigners; where it made a special appearance on Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations TV Series.

The world-famous restaurant opened an outlet in Singapore in July this year, where Wellington Street’s 70-year-old head chef has relocated to Singapore to oversee the kitchen for the next two years. It is their first overseas outpost.

Founded in 1954, Tai Cheong Bakery is a perennial favourite amongst native Hongkongers, expats and even tourists. After serving their irresistibly tasty egg tarts for over half a century, the Hong Kong-based establishment has decided to open a shop in Singapore; they sure know we Singaporeans love them. We can, too, expect Bo Lo Bao and other Cha Chaan Teng dishes etc.

Location to be confirmed

The Butcher’s Club was only founded in 2013, but has already quickly gained the recognition of locals and expats alike for being Hong Kong’s best burger joint. The Butcher’s Club opened its first restaurant in Singapore at Clarke Quay in October 2015.

With an emphasis of introducing dry-aged premium beef from Australia, diners are in some really mean burgers. We highly recommend their Red-Eye Reduction Burger (S$28+).

Tim Ho Wan was a hole-in-the-wall Hong Kong eatery that defied all odds and caught the attention of Michelin inspectors.

Today, the one-Michelin-star restaurant has several outlets across Singapore and we are glad that there is even one at Aperia Mall that opens round the clock! Do not go to Tim Ho Wan without ordering their signature Baked Bun with Barbecue Pork.

Hong Kong’s famous Cookie Shop, Mr Rich Bakery, is in the process of opening its first shop in Singapore. Following Jenny Bakery’s opening back in October 2015, Mr Rich Bakery is the next cookie shop from Hong Kong that is going to conquer Singapore’s market.

We spoke with Asia Food Mart – the official distributor of Mr Rich Bakery’s cookies in Singapore – to find out more.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

For those of you who are new to Mr Rich Bakery, the cookies are available in the following flavours – Butter Cookies, Matcha Latte, Choco-Marshmallow, Coffee Almond and Brewed Coffee.

They are also planning to launch a new flavour shortly before Chinese New Year, and it will be purple sweet potato.

Mr Rich Bakery Singapore is carrying the 5 Mix (S$24.90) and the 2 Mix Cookies (S$14.90) in the Rabbit packaging and Regina Packaging. There is also an ongoing promotion of 2 tins of 5 Mix Cookies at S$45.90.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

Jenny Bakery Singapore opened to much fanfare and the cookies sold out in two days. However, the hype did not last; probably because the cookies were overpriced – almost double the price that of Hong Kong’s.

Looks like Mr Rich Bakery is learning from this and not overcharging their cookies. A tin of 5 Mix Cookies in Hong Kong is HKD145 (or S$22.80), while Mr Rich Bakery Singapore is selling it for S$24.90.

Mr Rich Bakery Singapore will be doing a soft launch at Asia Food Mart’s premises at TripleOne Somerset. It is currently looking for a location in Singapore and will be opening its first flagship retail shop by the start of the second quarter of 2016. The shop will most likely be in a shopping mall, and we will definitely update this space once we get news.
