Mcdonald’s Singapore To Close All Outlets Until 4 May 2020 Due To COVID-19

Bad news for all Mcdonald’s fans. Mcdonald’s Singapore is closing all outlets from now until 4 May 2020.

As a preventative action in the fight against COVID-19, Mcdonald’s Singapore has been advised by the Ministry of Health to suspend all restaurant operations, including McDelivery and Drive-Thru, until 2 May 2020.

They will be closing all restaurants with effect from today, 19 April at 11am and will take their last Drive-Thru and Delivery orders at 8am and 10.30am, respectively.

Here’s the statement from Mcdonald’s Singapore Facebook Page:

“These are unprecedented times for all of us. With the safety of all our customers and employees as the top priority, we will do all we can to help Singapore flatten the curve.

From all of us at McDonald’s Singapore, we thank you for your continued support.

We’ll miss you and look forward to serving you again.

#MCDSGunited”

It is unclear if the other fast-food restaurants in Singapore—including KFC, Burger King, and A&W—will stop operations as well.

With the return of McGriddles and Chocolate Pie that got everyone excited, McDonald’s is also keeping us excited with a new breakfast item that will be introduced on 27 February 2020 – Donut Sticks (from S$2.20)!

McDonald’s always makes us want to wake up early so that we can make it in time for breakfast.

Come 27 February 2020, the new breakfast item will be launched. Think crispy and chewy dough fritters sprinkled with cinnamon sugar; pretty similar to our local youtiao, no?

You can now bring your parents, uncles and aunties who love dipping youtiao into their kopi to McDonald’s because the set that comes with a cup of McCafé Premium Roast Coffee goes for just S$3!

Are you excited? Because we are!

Note: The Donut Sticks will only be available during breakfast hours, at all McDonald’s outlet islandwide as well as GrabFood and McDonald’s delivery.

McDonald’s Singapore Finally Has All-Day Breakfast on Weekends and PHs (At Selected Outlets)

Yes, you read that right. McDonald’s Singapore is finally serving all-day breakfast on weekends and public holidays! REJOICE!

We have been counting down to this day for God knows how many years, and it is better news than good news! Gone are the days that we have to crawl out of bed on weekends when we should be sleeping in, and we set our alarms just so we could make it in time for our Hotcakes and Big Breakfast fix. But we no longer have to do this!

Selected outlets have starting pleasing fans with extended breakfast hours, and we really cannot contain our excitement. The regular breakfast menu will still be served till 12pm, and from 12pm to 5:30pm, enjoy the classic favourites of Hotcakes, Hotcakes with Sausage and Breakfast Deluxe. The early birds can have the stupid worms because mornings and worms suck, and for the rest of us who have a penchant to ditch our alarms on weekends and public holidays, we can still wake up to awesome McDonald’s breakfast!

This promotion has just been rolled out yesterday, and can only be found in 30-odd selected outlets in Singapore – mainly at areas like Woodlands, Yishun, Ang Mo Kio, Bishan, Serangoon, Punggol and Sengkang. We are certainly hoping it to be extended island-wide soon!
