HANS IM GLÜCK GERMAN BURGERGRILL 

Toss away your stereotypical notions of German food, because HANS IM GLÜCK takes the standard American burger and gives it a finely-crafted German twist. Choose between sourdough or multigrain buns, or even have it “naked” where your buns are replaced with a mix of vegetables and salad sauce. Before you scoff at it, trust us, the vegetarian Seelenheil (S$16) burger that features a Spinach and Cheese Patty is absolutely delicious.

Their Elsässer (S$17) takes the regular beef burger levels up with their brie and lingonberry combination. With mains served alongside a variety of snacks such as sweet potato fries or onion rings, and cocktails like a Mango Shorle or a Summer Wind in their value-for-money sets, you’d definitely want to bring more friends along to try all they have to offer.

LOKKEE

Lending flavours from all over the world, Lokkee does up some fascinating modern, fusion Chinese food with touches from the west. Don’t be fooled by their oriental decor; their kinky condom tissue packages and hilarious fortune cookies are a giveaway to their more creative, playful side.

One of their must-try items definitely has to be The Mermaid (S$32)—a rich grilled Kuhlbarra Barramundi collagen dish. Another stellar dish that we love is Wagyu Truffle Hor Fun; it is one luxurious noodle dish that is worth the calories. The smoky “Bakkwa” Bacon Salad (S$32) is a show-stepping dish that redefines salad and is one heck of a sinful but satisfying dish.

PINCE & PINTS

Mirroring a similar concept to Burger & Lobster in London, Pince & Pints is dedicated to serving lobster dishes under one roof. The two signatures are Live Whole Lobster (S$58++) and The Lobster Roll (S$58++).

For those who are looking for more local-inspired flavours, there are also options such as Chilli Lobster (S$58++) and Lobster Noodle (S$58++). The former is like our local Chilli Crab but instead of crabs, lobsters are used; the latter consists of wok-fried egg noodles with ginger, scallion and house-made chilli oil.
