There is nothing more satisfying than chowing down on a thick, succulent burger that features a juicy, meaty patty encased between two perfectly fluffy buns. Burgers are our go-to comfort food. Yet, however, it is hard to come by a place that serves up scrumptious yet affordable burgers that won’t break the bank.

Before you pop on over to Mcdonalds to grab yourself your usual Big Mac, why not check out these 8 burger places the next time the burger cravings hit?

We love their Teriyaki Chicken Burger (S$5.90 for single, S$7.90 for double) and Hickory Smoked Brisket Burger (S$6 for single, S$8.50 for double)!

They’re so high in demand that they always sell out really fast, so do come down early to be able to grab one of these delectable burgers before they run out. We recommend getting The Classic Beef (S$5) and Spice Pulled Pork (S$5)

Ministry of Burgers pushes out burgers similar to the well-loved ramly burger that you can normally only find at pasar malams. Their beef burger costs just S$3.90, but if you have a more voracious appetite, you definitely should get yourself the MoB Thunder (S$9.90) which features 4 thick slabs of patties!

VEGANBURG

Another delicious vegan option you can try is Veganburg. All their burgers are plant-based and we honestly may prefer these to their meaty counterparts. Each burger also comes with a side of seaweed fries or crispy broccoli which makes it very value-for-money! We recommend getting their bestsellers: the Cracked Mayo (S$9.90).

A humble burger joint opened by the folks behind Carvers & Co, Wolf Burgers has, over the last few years, risen through the ranks to become a popular choice among burger aficionados all over Singapore. This no-frills burger joint puts out some scrumptious, meat-packed options, with most items on the menu priced below S$10.
After months of anticipation, Five Guys is finally making its first foray into Singapore!

Hailing from the land of fast food, this American cult favourite is a fast-casual burger joint with a simple goal: selling the best quality burgers possible.

That’s quite a bold statement. Then again, Five Guys takes pride in standing out from the crowd – after all, they claim their burgers are made of the right stuff.

Starting out as a humble business venture by four (plus one) brothers, Five Guys soon became the spot to grab a freshly-grilled burger at.

The brand then took off, and the rest is history. Now boasting over 1,600 outlets worldwide, the brand has recently set its sights on Asia.

Brought in by Zouk Group, Five Guys will open its flagship local outlet in Plaza Singapura. Located next to the main atrium, the store offers both indoor and al fresco seating.

Because all its burgers are made-to-order, the patty retains its moisture, the greens stay crisp, the buns remain airy, and the cheese continues to melt.

The chunky beef patty is no doubt the highlight; oozing with meat juices and partially charred from the grill, these hand-formed patties pull away easily with each.

With up to 15 distinct toppings, whether you want a slight twist or plan to go all the way, the choice is yours. Five Guys has all the right stuff on hand; it’s up to you to pick how much of it you want.

Handcut and made from real potatoes, these strips are fried in peanut oil until golden-brown. These snacks have a fantastic contrast: crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. For something different, try their zesty Cajun seasoning!

If you’re feeling peckish while awaiting your meal, grab a handful of the complimentary roasted-in-shell peanuts for a quick snack. Addictively smoky, be careful not to fill up before your mains arrive!

Sliced butterfly-styled and freshly grilled, these hot dogs have the same smouldering saltiness as the patties. Pair them with your favourite toppings and savour with your bare hands – dripping sauces and all – for the optimal American diner experience!

For a lighter alternative, try their grilled sandwiches for an easier-on-your-belly and lower-calorie option without forgoing the brand’s signature taste and quality!

Smooth, creamy, and wonderfully saccharine. Handspun to the perfect consistency, the smoothies are an absolute slurpable delight, and the perfect accompaniments to the savoury-on-savoury profile of the mains.

Whether you’re an enthusiastic follower of Singapore’s Burger Wars or just craving a well-made burger, swing by Five Guys for a tantalising and unforgettable treat! Try to visit early; with how kiasu the foodie crowd is, that’s the only way to guarantee getting your hands on one!

Meat and burger connoisseurs in Singapore are literally spoilt for choice because outstanding options are aplenty if you know just where to look. Whether it is beef, pulled pork, fried chicken or even portobello mushrooms you fancy, there is surely something to tickle your taste buds.

Here is our guide to the best burger joints in Singapore that all passionate meat lovers will appreciate. Think massive stacked burgers overflowing with meaty juices and oozing with melted cheese. Ignore the given utensils and get right in there with your bare hands—this is real-deal rustic dining at its best.

If you are not salivating right now, then you must be vegetarian.

#1 BURGER JOINT

In a back alley off Gemmill Lane near Club Street, lies the entrance to Burger Joint—a rustic dive bar that serves up insanely good burgers and a wide selection of craft beers on tap.

The burger menu is pretty straightforward, with just choices of hamburger, cheeseburger, bacon burger or bacon cheeseburger—and with an option to double up the patties. You can choose how well-cooked you want your patty to be—from rare to well-done. We suggest opting for medium-rare to get the juiciest (and tastiest) results.

#11 BurgerLabo

The folks behind The Naked Finn have introduced BurgerLabo which takes over the space of the now-defunt Nekkid, rebranding the small bar-and-bites eatery into a spot for gourmet burgers in Gillman Barracks.

Dinner began with their Basic Burger (S$23++ for single patty/S$36++ for double patty) and its optional add-on of Truffle fries (S$3++).
A thick 170g patty was slipped between two toasted buns that were slathered with house-made bone marrow “butter” and sauce. It was topped with grilled organic tomato, green ice lettuce, and two slices of American cheese.

The beef was made of an elaborate blend of grass-fed Black Angus beef neck, Aomori Gyu ribeye, Toriyama Umami Wagyu A4 tenderloin, and Sendai Wagyu A5 brisket.

We had our burger halved and biting into its center gave way to an explosion of flavourful juiciness as we chewed into its very tender texture.
