Beauty In The Pot (BITP) is opening its 7th outlet at nex in October 2020. Beauty In The Pot rose to fame with its beauty collagen broth and it has firmly established itself as one of the most popular hotpot restaurants in Singapore.

Beauty In The Pot will be taking over the spot vacated by the now-defunct MOF @ My Izakaya. The Paradise Group—the parent company of Beauty In The Pot—will also be opening Canton Paradise next to Beauty In The Pot.

BEAUTY IN THE POT

The newest and largest branch of Beauty In The Pot has walls and ceilings in the colour of cherry blossoms and marble floors that are stippled with pink quartz. Hungry insomniacs can get a hotpot supper with their much raved about Fried Beancurd Skin and Ebiko Prawn Paste to pair with slices of pork belly and beef. Try their Cooling Coconut Broth base for something different from the usual.

COTTON DREAMS

Cotton candy flavoured milk still doesn’t exist but Cotton Dreams does have milk tea topped with a huge cloud of cotton candy. There’s even edible cotton candy bouquets and bubble tea vodka. Their dreamy interior reminds us of unicorns, bubble gum, and candy cane.

HEY SUGAR

Hey Sugar looks sweet and simple in a dainty shade of pastel pink. It’s a spot for a sugary treat when in the Keat Hong neighbourhood. 1. BALESTIER ROAD

When we mention Balestier, everyone thinks of Bak Kut Teh first. Despite the never-ending debate on which Bak Kut Teh eatery is better, 333 Bak Kut Teh is a crowd favourite. Balestier also has a number of chicken rice restaurants such as Loy Kee Chicken Rice and Boon Tong Kee that open until late, too.

Where to park: There are legal lots to park along the road. However, you can also park at the Whampoa Market open-air car park if you do not mind a short walk.

If you stay in the West of Singapore, or in the vicinity of Bukit Timah, you would have tried either Al-Azhar or Al-Ameen. Indian Muslim food is always a good choice for supper, be it the sinful prata or a lovely plate of Mee Goreng, But guess what? Bukit Timah actually has more to offer!

You can also get really amazing claypot rice at Geylang Claypot Rice. Otherwise, Geylang also has many dim sum and hot pot places that open until late! Some notable ones include 126 Dim Sum Wen Dao Shi, Ladyboy Mookata and Da Long Yan Hot Pot.

5. JALAN KAYU

When at Jalan Kayu, eat prata, of course! Prata is a fail-proof supper option, and Thasevi Restaurant at Jalan Kayu is our all-time favourite. We’ve been patrons since we were kids! Those who are looking for a place to chill with bar grub and beers should consider One Place Bistro & Bar.

For something light, go to Selegie Soya Bean for some silky smooth beancurd and piping hot dough fritters. Tang Teahouse also offers consistently good dim sum.

The renowned Punggol Nasi Lemak is situated at a coffee shop that also offers other great eats. We especially love Yi Ji Fried Hokkien Prawn Mee there which we dub as one of the best in Singapore. There are also a few Teochew porridge stalls that open till late.

Where to park: At the open-air car park opposite the coffee shop where these restaurants are situated at.

7. LITTLE INDIA 

Everybody comes here for Swee Choon and we can understand why. Not only is their Dim Sum delicious, it is extremely inexpensive. Of course, how can you miss out on the rich flavours of Indian cuisine at Khansama Tandoori Restaurant and Indian Mom’s Kitchen?

For something substantial and hearty, a meal at Beach Road Scissor-Cut Curry Rice will do the trick.

8. RIVER VALLEY ROAD

While everybody flocks to Spize like a magnet after drinking or partying, we prefer dining at its next door neighbour, Al Afrose. The Indian Muslim food here is delicious, less expensive and the portions are much bigger.

Otherwise, there are also popular chicken rice stalls that open until late including Boon Tong Kee and Five Star Hainanese.

Where to park: There are legal parking lots behind these restaurants and along the roadside.

9. SERANGOON GARDENS

We frequent Chomp Chomp for mouthwatering BBQ Seafood. Sambal Stingray is probably one of the best dishes to get here, together with some La-La (Clams) and Sambal Kang Kong.

Both Srisun Express and RK Eating House satisfy our late-night cravings for teh towers and Indian-Muslim cuisine. Round your meal off at Oblong where you can get crispy waffles and interesting ice cream flavours.

Where to park: There are parking lots everywhere around Serangoon Gardens.

10. SIMPANG BEDOK

Simpang Bedok’s frontrunner is definitely Spize. While it might not be our favourite restaurant in Singapore, we certainly still love the food that is served here.

Other options you have at Simpang Bedok include New Mahamoodiya Restaurant and Syed Restaurant.

Where to park: There are plenty of parking lots directly behind the stretch of restaurants.

11. TANJONG KATONG ROAD

Another Punggol Nasi Lemak outlet? Sign us up. We just cannot get enough of it. Farther down Tanjong Katong Road is the OneKM Mall, where Beauty In The Pot is at.

For a selection of Western and Asian choices under one roof, Bar Bar Black Sheep should be in your list too.

12. UPPER THOMSON ROAD

We are loyal customers of Meng Kitchen and the Minced Meat Noodles here is heavenly, especially when it is late at night and you are starving. Fatboy’s The Burger Bar also opens late here if you have a hankering for burgers.
