Good news for our Muslim friends, A&W Restaurant Singapore is now officially halal certified! Both A&W Singapore’s outlets at Jewel Changi Airport and AMK Hub have been certified halal by the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS).

The Halal certification guarantee & assures that all A&W Singapore’s products, preparation method and source of ingredients are in compliance with the Islamic doctrine.

After opening at Jewel Changi Airport, A&W Singapore opened a second outlet at AMK Hub in July 2019 and there will be a new outlet at Canberra Plaza.

The wait is finally over, our Muslim friends can now enjoy their favourite root beer float, waffles and curly fries.

Let’s hope that A&W Singapore will be adding more outlets in Singapore next year.

American fast food chain A&W is returning to Singapore next year, after leaving us for 10 years. How did life go by without A&W, we have no clue; we are just glad they are coming back into our lives. And we hope they are here to stay.

A&W CEO Kevin Bazner revealed that A&W has set up a Singapore office since 2016. The expansion plan includes opening up to 40 new outlets across Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and Thailand.

A&W has set Singapore as its Southeast Asia flagship. It will also serve as a training ground for all its staff in Southeast Asia. The first outlet will be at the new Changi Airport’s Jewel.

In the meantime, who is ready for root beer float, waffles and curly fries?!

Dear A&W,

Ever since you pulled out of Singapore many years ago, poor Singaporeans have to go all the way to other cities like Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Batam in order to satisfy our cravings. How can you be so heartless to deny us of curly fries, root beer float, coney dogs, and ice cream waffle?

Someone, please bring A&W back to Singapore!

I know you didn’t do well due to the intense competition from rival fast food restaurants, but hey, everyone deserves a second chance. Just look at how Wendy’s, Domino’s Pizza, and Dunkin’ Donuts have made a comeback in Singapore. You can do it too!

Okie, obviously emotional appeals do not work on you. Otherwise how can you explain the fact that plenty of petitions to bring A&W back to Singapore failed? I shall try another method. A&W, you better come back to Singapore. Otherwise, I’ll boycott you when I go overseas.
