The moment someone mentions the East side of Singapore, our minds are undoubtedly reminded of food and cosy cafes. After all, the East area is home to an abundance of artisanal dessert studios, restaurants and bars. But MOD Café is a newly-opened cafe that caught our attention.

A café cum salon, MOD Café is situated along East Coast Road. You can spot the single-storey establishment from afar with its pink-tiled décor. The space is cosy and quiet, a perfect hideout to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Their menu consists of mains such as All-Day-Breakfast (S$14.90) and Thai Chilli Chicken Wrap (S$7.50); you can complete your set meal by pairing it with either coffee or tea. You can also take your pick from a variety of soups, brews, exclusive mocktails and pastries.

But the highlight about this new café? They serve cheesecakes from The Cheesecake Factory too! For non-cheesecake lovers, an addictive selection of sponge cakes and croissants are available as well.

You will be stoked to know their cheesecakes come in three signature flavours: Mango Key Lime, Salted Caramel and Original (S$7.90-9.90). They come topped off in either a scoop of gelato or whipped cream.

MOD Café is a great spot for you to settle in, get comfortable and read a book while sipping on a cup of joe. So, don’t be a stranger; do drop by and check them out!

For the love of all things cheese, it is time to rejoice with the upcoming launch of Beverly Hills Cheesecake in Singapore and they will be featuring desserts from the legendary The Cheesecake Factory!

For the uninitiated, The Cheesecake Factory is one of the most attractive American chain restaurants with a wide menu of savouries ranging from small plates, classic mains, to brunches and “super” foods. Regardless, we definitely are most passionate about their indulgent cheesecakes for desserts.

Beverly Hills Cheesecake Singapore was supposed to open at the basement of Raffles City in June 2019, but there is most likely a delay to the opening.

The Cheesecake Factory operates 210 full-service restaurants: 194 under The Cheesecake Factory brand, 14 under the Grand Lux Cafe brand and 2 under the RockSugar Pan Asian Kitchen brand.

Given that The Cheesecake Factory has more than 200 outlets all over the world, it remains unclear why the Singapore outpost is under a new brand rather than the original brand.

Over at Beverly Hills Cheesecake Singapore, you can look forward to the signature cheesecake flavours from The Cheesecake Factory such as Red Velvet Layer Cake, Mango Key Lime Cheesecake, Chocolate Blackout Layer Cake and Chocolate Cherry Cheesecake.

We can barely contain our excitement! We might even make our lunch dates a sharing plate of cheesecakes.
