Stepping in to Sueno—a new ice cream café at 888 Plaza in Admiralty—we were greeted by the aroma of baking waffles and desserts.

If you are looking for a café in the North of Singapore to chill out at with friends to enjoy waffles and ice cream, Sueno is the next place you can go to.

We went for a Single Waffle with Double Scoops (S$11.70), choosing a Red Velvet Base topped with two scoops of ice cream: Chocolate Rocky Road and Speculoos.

The waffles were fluffy and soft, with a crispy exterior and airy middle. It also came drizzled in chocolate fudge and sprinkled with sugar and oreo bits. However, we thought that the red velvet waffle would have been much better if it came with a cream cheese frosting.

The Speculoos was creamy with a rich, cinnamon flavour. It was also laced with earthy, ginger notes.

Chocolate lovers will die for Chocolate Rocky Road; it had bits of marshmallow and nuts, which was a nice textural contrast to the soft gelato. It was also extremely thick and chocolate-y.
