Located on Bali Lane, Stateland Cafe has been making a name for itself for its waffles. Served with a scoop of ice cream, and topped with homemade cream cheese glaze, the Red Velvet Waffle (S$14.90) indeed lived up to its name.

Thick yet fluffy, with the red velvet base combing well with the cream cheese glazing – this is one waffle that you have to try if you are on a hunt for the best waffles in Singapore.

For something more substantial, there’s the Statelanders’ Breakfast menu. Options include Eggs Benedict (S$14.90), The Big Breakfast (S$17.90) and French Toast (S$11.90). The pasta menu is short and simple – choose between the Tomato & Cream Spaghetti (S$10.90), Carbonara (S$10.90) and Aglio Olio (S$10.90)

Don’t bother ordering coffee here; it is sadly run-of-the-mill and not worth having. We like the Homemade Old-fashioned Lemonade (S$4.50 – S$4.90) that comes in three different flavours – original, mint and strawberry. Cool and refreshing, it is the perfect thirst quencher.
