From 11 April to 29 May 2017, Popeyes will be serving the limited edition Singapore Street Wings which marries the flavour of Louisiana and Singapore in one.

On 07 May 2017, Popeyes will be having their annual Popeyes Day promotion that is too good to miss. For just S$5.90, you get 5 regular sized pieces of their famous chicken. What a steal! Here is what you need to know about Popeyes’ latest additions and special promotions.

Popeyes’ flagship outlet is located at Tebing Lane in Punggol and it is Popeyes’ only standalone shop in Singapore. However, there is a total of 14 Popeyes outlets islandwide so you are guaranteed to find one near you.

Did you know that all of Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen’s chicken wings are marinated for at least 12 hours? The chicken wings are also hand battered, breaded and sprinkled with a special Louisiana blend of five-spice seasoning before being deep-fried to perfection.

Peel apart the hot and crispy chicken skin to reveal juicy, tender and well-seasoned meat. We also appreciate that only drumsticks or wings are used, which made it much easier to devour the tasty meat.

LIMITED EDITION SINGAPORE STREET WINGS

The Singapore Street Wings was born from the adventures of two Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen’s chefs traversing the streets of Singapore for a taste of local flavours. As such, certain familiar flavours would instinctively be brought to mind when you are digging into the Singapore Street Wings, especially with the Spicy Chilli Garlic Dip.

The limited edition Singapore Street Wings Combo Deal (S$7.50) consists of 4 pieces of wings, 1 Spicy Chilli Garlic  dip, 1 regular mashed potatoes with Cajun gravy, 1 Honey Butter Biscuit and one exclusive bottle of Tropicana Fruit Sparkling Drink.

The wings have a mixture of spices that reminds us of a spicier and more fragrant version of their original chicken. The dip on the side stole the show. An excellent companion to the chicken wings, the Spicy Chilli Garlic Dip was reminiscent of the chilli sauce that is typically served on the side of Singapore’s chicken rice.

Popeyes mashed potatoes are marvellous as they come with rich and tasty Cajun gravy.  The signature Honey Butter Biscuit is what you cannot pass up on, too. The biscuit is so buttery and the honey glaze on the top adds a subtle sweetness to every bite.
