A new cozy coffee shop has sprung up around the corner of Duxton Hill and seems like it is here to stay. Unlike the typical café concepts, MavRx Coffee Apothecary is a specialty coffee shop that only serves what they do best – coffee.

The striking monochrome geometric marbled walls of MavRx Coffee Apothecary and their eye-catching cups of bold capitalized captions “GET SHIT DONE” have probably made an appearance on your Instagram feed at some point of time.

Besides the aesthetics aspect, what really had us sold was their aromatic coffee. MavRx Coffee Apothecary hands down serves one of the best coffees in town and had us instantly teleported to our café hopping days in Melbourne.

The quaint coffee shop uses the Carmelo Blend, which has been imported from Australia’s coffee roaster and espresso specialist All Press Espresso. Rich and satisfying with distinctive notes of caramel flavours, it is no surprise that many first timers were effortlessly convinced to return regularly for more caffeinated drinks.

Former Farm to Table Café barista Edmund is currently singlehandedly taking your caffeine orders and is doing a great job in manning the operations. Drop by and wake yourself up with an invigorating cold brew (S$5) that is served in 5 medical syringes or stick to the standard flat white (S$5) and espresso (S$3).
