Firstly, Dr.Inc is actually intended to sound like “drink” and not “doctor inc”. The quaint hideout is located a stone’s throw away from Bangsar’s main bustling area and is more than just any other ordinary cafe. Dr.Inc also shares the same space with local boutique designer Nala Designs.

Situated in Chinatown district, Merchant’s Lane is considered a hidden gem—unless you look hard enough to spot its barely visible entrance.

Do try their bestselling dessert, aptly named Better Than Sex (RM$16)—which is essentially a pandan roti jala topped with melted cheese, served with kaya ice-cream and completed with a drizzle of gula melaka.

VCR is housed within a double-storey dark-grey shophouse, and is the ultimate hipster brunch place to check out. We thorough enjoyed the Soft Shell Crab Burger (RM$24)—a tasty battered crustacean sandwiched between two lightly toasted fluffy brioches. Highly recommended!

Do not underestimate this humble breakfast bar, for its photogenic breakfast toasts and refreshing fruit juices have been gaining much popularity on social media recently. As its name suggests, A • Toast Breakfast & Juice Bar is a breakfast place that opens from early morning to mid-afternoon.

Those who are working nearby can grab a sandwich along the way to kick-start a productive day or have a simple brunch here during the weekends. 

A • Toast Breakfast & Juice Bar runs a self-service concept and visitors can order and collect their food at the counter outside. The amount of time taken to prepare the food is considerably fast and we waited less than 10 minutes for our food to be ready.

Due to space constraints, it is advisable to avoid peak hours or you can grab a wholesome breakfast to go.

Their big Bamboo Charcoal Toast (RM9.30/ S$3.10) is probably one of the most attractive sandwiches we have seen so far.

In between lightly toasted bread slices is a wonderful combination of fresh green lettuce, tomato, cheese, buttery scrambled eggs and a generous portion of light and fluffy chicken floss.

Other homemade sandwiches offered by the breakfast bar include Black Sesame Toast (RM9.30/ S$3.10), Wholemeal Toast (RM9.30/ S$3.10) and Milky White Toast (RM8.90/ S$3).

You can also include add-ons such as sunny side egg, hashbrown, chicken ham, cheese sausage and more.

Of course, you should not miss out on their signature pure fruit juices as well. Choose from 12 different fruit juice options (RM8.90/ S$3) or go for breakfast classics such as Black Coffee, Milk Coffee and Mocha.
