Iced coffees and lattes are definitely the underrated drinks at restaurants and cafes. Most people lean towards hot lattes, just because it looks better in photos, or simply because they prefer their coffee warm. However, in our sweltering tropical climate, it is always good to grab an iced cuppa to rejuvenate yourselves.

We have to admit that while we drink iced coffees and lattes a lot, they have never really been our priority for photos. But now, we think it is time for these glorious drinks to step into the spotlight.

We picked out our favourite ones for this list of the Best Iced Coffees in Singapore - or what we’d affectionately call ‘kopi peng for the soul’.

#1 AND ALL THINGS DELICIOUS – ICED LATTE

Like most iced lattes in Singapore, this amazing cup of iced coffee is pretty underrated. This cup is a perfect match with the in-house desserts, especially our all-time favourite Sticky Date Pudding.

#2 BAKER & COOK – ICED LATTE

Baker & Cook at Chip Bee Gardens is a cosy and conducive space to relax with a book and a great cup of iced latte. Although many still lean towards their hot latte to pair up with their amazing desserts, we say have a go at their iced version and you might just be a convert!

#3 BRAWN & BRAINS – ICED LATTE

Brawn & Brains offers two types of coffee – a single origin and a blend called Pen & Pencil, which we prefer. The blend is nutty and slightly chocolate-y but extremely smooth and refreshing when served iced.

#4 DOLCETTO BY BASILLICO – ICED LATTE

Dolcetto at Regent Hotel has always been a well-known bakery and cafe offering daily fresh bakes and cakes. These go amazingly well with a cup of their iced coffee. You can also have it paired with one of their savoury selections, such as the Squid Ink Panini.

#5 D’GOOD CAFE – ICED LATTE

As you can see, sometimes the iced lattes can be overlooked in photos but what we can say for sure is that D’Good’s blend of coffee is nothing short of refined and delicious. They also have custom blends of coffee there, and the one made from washed Yirgacheffe beans is great served iced as you can taste the complex flavours.

#6 OLD HEN COFFEE BAR – COLD BREWED COFFEE

As one of the first cafes to offer cold-brewed coffee in modern glass bottles with a variation of types that ranges from milk coffee to a mocha blend, we love Old Hen Coffee Bar for their bold move.

We were told that Sarnies also roasts their own beans in store and the result was a very smooth-tasting Iced Latte which we really enjoyed – especially after walking through the crazy humidity here in Singapore.

Roasting their own beans in store, you bet Sun Ray Cafe does a great iced latte. For just S$3.50, you probably can’t find a lower price in any other cafe, anywhere else. We could taste the smoothness and the nutty flavours of their beans in this refreshing cup.

#10 TWENTY GRAMMES – ICED MELBOURNE COFFEE

This is an unusual one on this list but nevertheless, still a great variation. They put on a dollop of their bestselling sea salt caramel ice cream on top of their iced latte. This is a genius idea because sea salt caramel and coffee is a match made in heaven.

#11 URBAN FAIRWAYS – ICED MOCHA

We usually skip iced mochas, but after already having two cups of coffee that day, we decided to go for a milder version and picked the Iced Mocha at Urban Fairways instead. We were not disappointed. The rich chocolate instead really brought out the taste of the coffee, without overshadowing it.
