Fortunately, Kitty Burns is way more than just a pretty face. The comprehensive menu boasts a great selection of all-day gourmet brunch items created with masterly finesse and Victoria’s freshest produce. Unsurprisingly, the new cafe in Abbotsford is packed with customers on a daily basis – even on weekdays.

Located just along the Yarra riverside walk, Kitty Burn’s ambience is impossibly relaxed and ideal for a leisure stroll after a scrumptious meal.

The pooch-friendly cafe sees many adorable pups lingering around with their owners at the alfresco area – so don’t hesitate to bring your dog(s) along while grabbing a divine cuppa prepared with roasted beans from AllPress Espresso.

The Torched Kingfish (A$22.50) – served alongside Japanese rice, a perfectly wobbly 63/63 egg, edamame beans, kimchi mayonnaise, leek ash sea succulents and roast sesame dressing – was totally refreshing and satisfying. In fact, we would highly recommend first-timers to order this nourishing and stunning Japanese-inspired gluten-free and dairy-free fusion main.

The KB Burger (A$21) is a delightful and a gluten-free option that is available upon request. A shaved free-range pork belly is sandwiched between two fluffy brioche buns, with the tasty meat cut topped with green mango and papaya slaw, kimchi mayonnaise and homemade pickles.

Thumbs up to Kitty Burns for the clever use of Asian ingredients! This is one new cafe in Melbourne that is totally worth the drive out!
