Yep, this is the same “Beng” who cares. Run by the same two guys who started Beng Who Cares Foundation, Beng Who Cooks has been at Hong Lim Market & Food Centre for over two years now.

Their usual menu features rice and soba bowls but their delivery menu is a little more concise. You get four options, such as Beef Stew Rice and Fusili Pasta With Tofu.

Islandwide delivery goes at a flat fee of S$8 per location with no minimum order. Deliveries will arrive between 12pm to 2.30pm. Do order at least one day in advance.

BLANCO COURT BEEF NOODLES

This ain’t your pho or Lanzhou beef noods. Blanco Court Beef Noodles serves up traditional Hainanese beef noodles, and they’ve been doing this for a good 40 over years. Their range of dishes go from Superior Beef Noodles (S$9.90) to Beef Balls Noodles (S$6.90).

FISHBALL STORY

Opened by a young hawker, Douglas Tan, Fishball Story pays tribute to his grandmother’s handmade fishballs. His fishball noodles first caught the attention of well-known critic, KF Seetoh, and has gone on to clinch Michelin awards.

Delivery is available daily from 8.30am to 8.30pm (last order) and fees range from S$6 to S$14, depending on distance.

FULL OF LUCK RESTAURANT

Cantonese casual fine-dining is the name of their game here. Full Of Luck Restaurant does some Chinese dishes, such as their signature Honey Glazed Char Siew.

They’ve curated a range of mouthwatering bentos available for delivery, featuring Hakka Kurobuta Pork and Braised Beancurd with Mushroom sets. Free islandwide delivery is available with S$100 spent. Otherwise, a S$12 flat delivery fee applies with no minimum spend.

Turning heads with their mee pok carbonara and chili crab tofu, Good Time Eat Drink offers a refreshing take on Chinese-Peranakan cuisine. While their delivery menu features only a portion of their usual menu, you’re still very much in for a comforting, homely feast.

Their kitchen is open from 11am to 8pm daily. Do order at least 2 hours in advance. Free islandwide delivery applies for orders S$60 and above. If not, a S$6 delivery fee will be charged. Not only that, customers get to enjoy 20% off their delivery menu during this circuit breaker.

LOEDY TEOCHEW MINCED MEAT NOODLE

Bak chor mee, anybody? Loedy Teochew Minced Meat Noodle does a mean execution of this humble local favourite. Go for their Abalone Minced Meat Noodle (S$5) and add on a serving of their delicious hei zhor while you’re at it.

THAI HAO CHI MOOKATA

If you’re in the mood for Thai cuisine, Thai Hao Chi Mookata will be right up your aisle. This place dishes out Thai-style bentos and other Thai dishes, from Mookata Wagyu Beef Bento to Tom Yum Soup. They even have Bak Kwa Fried Rice?! Amazing.

PANG’S HAKKA DELICACIES

Hakka food in a French dining establishment — it doesn’t get any more rad than that. Chef Pang, the owner of Antoinette, is paying homage to his Hakka roots with Pang’s Hakka Delicacies, a side hustle that usually operates on a takeaway-only basis.

Well, good news. They deliver! And, with no minimum spend. Don’t think about it and just go for their Traditional Abacus Seeds (S$9 for 250g/S$31 for 1kg), which is one of the best renditions of the dish we’ve ever had.

Want to know how “zhng”-ed prawn noodles look like? Then hit up Prawnaholic. Their Special Prawn Noodle (S$6.50) comes with flame-torched kurobuta pork slices and juicy prawn balls.
If you’re in a ravenous mood, their King Prawn Udon (S$18) will surely appease you.

YI QI FA NASI LEMAK

Doesn’t Chinese style nasi lemak and economical noodles sound like a dreamy combination? Yi Qi Fa Nasi Lemak offers just that and more. Think nasi lemak with extra luncheon meat, stir-fried cabbage and fishcake. Yum.

There’s nothing mindblowing about their Hamburger (S$5.70), but this classic beef burger is wonderfully executed — plump buns, juicy thick patty and melty cheese. Their Smoked Duck Aglio Olio is a great choice too.
