<p><a href="https://www.ladyironchef.com/2019/11/knots-cafe-living/" target="_blank">Knots Café and Living</a>—a <a href="https://www.ladyironchef.com/2020/07/tai-seng-food/" target="_blank">garden-themed cafe in Tai Seng</a>—is opening its second outlet in the South of Singapore.</p>
<p>The new space is located at 102E Pasir Panjang Road, near to the former space vacated by the now-defunct Habitat by honestbee.</p>
<p><span id="more-210400"></span></p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-210417" alt="Knots Cafe Living Interior" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Knots-Cafe-Living-Interior.jpg" width="710" height="1065" /></p>
<p>For those of you who haven&#8217;t been to Knots Café and Living before, it is an unassuming floral café opened by Xpressflower.com which is located amidst the bustling area of <a href="https://www.ladyironchef.com/2020/07/tai-seng-food/" target="_blank">Tai Seng</a>.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-210418" alt="Knots Cafe Living Brunch" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Knots-Cafe-Living-Brunch.jpg" width="710" height="1065" /></p>
<p>At first glance, you’d think <a href="https://www.ladyironchef.com/2019/11/knots-cafe-living/" target="_blank">Knots Cafe &amp; Living</a> is just a well-furbished furniture store. And, you wouldn’t be wrong. But, what do you know—they serve decent cafe food as well! Behind their mystical garden theme and woody aesthetic, their hidden kitchen dishes up classic brunch and Western fare.</p>
<p>Opt for a waffle twist to your usual brunch affair with the Knots Waffle Brekkie, which comes with smoked beef sausage, sautéed mushrooms and scrambled eggs. The Fish &amp; Chips is a recommended dish as well which sees thick dory fillets breaded and fried to a golden crisp.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-210419" alt="Knots Cafe Living Coffee" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Knots-Cafe-Living-Coffee.jpg" width="710" height="1065" /></p>
<p>Have a cup of coffee, read a book or catch up with work while you are there.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-210420" alt="Knots Cafe Living Space" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/09/Knots-Cafe-Living-Space.jpg" width="710" height="1065" /></p>
<p>The new <a href="https://www.ladyironchef.com/2019/11/knots-cafe-living/" target="_blank">Knots Café and Living</a> outlet at Pasir Panjang Road is expected to open by mid Oct 2021 and it will feature a similar food menu but with more refined options.</p>
<p>There will also be a wider selection of wines available. They have plans to have an outdoor al fresco dining area, but it is still pending approval from the building&#8217;s management.</p>
<p>Kindly note that the photos are taken from Knots Café and Living&#8217;s current outlet at 160 Paya Lebar Road.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Located at The Yards (the former site of the old Telok Kurau Primary School) in Joo Chiat Place, The Brewing Ground is a pet-friendly cafe that offers all-day brunch and drinks.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Playing on the various definitions of the word &#8216;brew&#8217;, The Brewing Ground offers not only good coffee and beer, but it is also a space for the community to gather.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span id="more-208834"></span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-208839" alt="The Brewing Ground Interior" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/The-Brewing-Ground-Interior.jpg" width="1065" height="710" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">What we like about The Brewing Ground:</p>
<ul style="text-align: justify;">
<li>A hidden gem in Joo Chiat</li>
<li>Delicious brunch fare</li>
<li>Ample parking lots at The Yards, Joo Chiat Place</li>
<li>Pretty garden-themed interior</li>
<li>Pet-friendly alfresco area</li>
<li>All-day brunch from 11am &#8211; 4pm</li>
</ul>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-208840" alt="The Brewing Ground Exterior" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/The-Brewing-Ground-Exterior.jpg" width="1065" height="710" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Brewing Ground is a <a href="https://www.ladyironchef.com/2020/07/pet-friendly-cafes-singapore/" target="_blank">pet-friendly cafe in the east of Singapore</a> that allows dogs in the outdoor area.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-208844" alt="The Brewing Ground Menu" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/The-Brewing-Ground-Menu.jpg" width="710" height="1065" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">On the menu, you can find a selection of all-day brunch and mains from 11am to 4pm and the more popular dishes include the Breakfast Burger (S$20), Crab &amp; Signature Scrambled Eggs on Toast (S$25), and The Brewers Breakfast (S$26)—the <a href="https://www.ladyironchef.com/2019/09/big-breakfast-guide/" target="_blank">full breakfast works</a> with eggs, bacon, cheese sausage, hash brown, sauteed mushrooms and toast.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-208841" alt="The Brewing Ground Coffee" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/The-Brewing-Ground-Coffee.jpg" width="710" height="1065" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Brewing Ground uses single-origin Bespresso beans from Brazil roasted by 2º North Coffee Co.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-208842" alt="The Brewing Ground Crab Scrambled Eggs" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/The-Brewing-Ground-Crab-Scrambled-Eggs.jpg" width="710" height="1065" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The Crab &amp; Signature Scrambled Eggs on Toast (S$25) features The Brewing Ground&#8217;s signature scrambled eggs, sautéed crabmeat, ikura, and roasted cherry tomatoes on a sourdough toast. The combination of flavours can be a bit too exotic for those who have a lighter palate.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-208843" alt="The Brewing Ground Avocado Toast" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/04/The-Brewing-Ground-Avocado-Toast.jpg" width="1065" height="710" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We also had the Avocado &amp; Ricotta Tartine (S$17)—a beautiful assembly of avocado, roasted cherry tomatoes and ricotta on sourdough which came with a side of Mesclun salad. Classic, and will always make us happy. You can also choose to add scrambled eggs (S$5) or maple bacon (S$5) to the toast.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify;">Are you on the hunt for aesthetic cafes with picturesque spots to spice up your boring Instagram feed? Or are you simply a hungry boyfriend looking to fill your growling tummy while your girlfriend badgers you for “IG-worthy date spots”?</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Fret not, as you get the best of both worlds at Knots Café and Living —  a gorgeous garden café located in Tai Seng!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><span id="more-191166"></span></p>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-191201" alt="Knots Decoration" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Knots-Decoration.jpg" width="710" height="500" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">This unassuming café is located amidst the bustling area of Tai Seng. Boasting floral décor, plushies and wooden furniture, Knots is a multi-concept store selling both furniture and a menu of typical café fare.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">If you forgot to buy bae a present, this place will be your saving grace. Home to cute trinkets, there are lots of perfect last-minute gifts you can surprise your partner with. From their various blooms and interesting knick-knacks to the table you will be dining at, everything is for sale!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-191208" alt="Knots Brekkie Waffle Image" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Knots-Brekkie-Waffle-Image.jpg" width="710" height="900" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We decided to try their iconic savoury waffle platter: Knots Waffle Brekkie (S$18.90). This is the perfect dish to share with your partner. It was served in a hulking mountain of ingredients sitting atop a giant bed of fluffy buttermilk waffle.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The waffle was soft with an airy middle, and the strong buttermilk flavour was evident. Having been drizzled with syrup, it also had a sweet aftertaste.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-191206" alt="Knots Waffle Egg" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Knots-Waffle-Egg.jpg" width="710" height="900" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">The scrambled eggs were our favourite — the eggs were runny with an ultra-creamy texture that melted in our mouths. It complemented the pillowy waffle well, elevating its savouriness. The sautéed mushrooms also had a strong charred flavour, tantalising our tastebuds, while still allowing its natural sweetness to come through.<span style="font-weight: 300;"> </span></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Though crisp on the outside, the bacon was surprisingly soft and tender, tearing apart easily. It also had a distinct cinnamon-like taste that kept us hankering for more.</p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><!-- 336 X 280 Within Content --> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="width: 336px; height: 280px;"></ins>//</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-191203" alt="Knots Fish and Chips" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Knots-Fish-and-Chips.jpg" width="710" height="900" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">We also opted for their Fish and Chips (S$13.90). Served with a generous portion of french fries, the deep-fried breaded dory fillet was incredibly crunchy. Paired together with the piquant, salty tartar sauce, the dressing added to the fish’s savouriness.</p>
<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-191202" alt="Knots Fish and Chips Piece" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Knots-Fish-and-Chips-Piece.jpg" width="710" height="900" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">It wasn’t overwhelming greasy either and we liked how it had a thick meat to skin ratio. The meat was tender as well; add a pinch of lemon to add zesty flavour to the fish!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-191204" alt="Knots Interior" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Knots-Interior.jpg" width="710" height="500" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Albeit on the pricier side, Knots Café and Living is a great date spot for those looking to dine at an idyllic café. Step in and be enthralled by its garden wonderland! If you happen to be in the area, do pop by and give them a try.</p>

<p style="text-align: justify">Think wood and grass: the entire place is set up with wooden elements, ornaments, plants and birdhouses. It almost seems as if we were transported to a magical garden!</p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><span id="more-189796"></span> <img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-189803" alt="Farmers and Chefs Interior copy" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Farmers-and-Chefs-Interior-copy.jpg" width="710" height="600" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Here, they believe in serving wholesome foods with quality ingredients, and their menu synonymously matches the nature theme.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-189802" alt="Farmers and Chefs Traditional Breakfast Set" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Farmers-and-Chefs-Traditional-Breakfast-Set.jpg" width="710" height="500" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify">First up, we had their Traditional Breakfast Set (S$3), which consisted of kaya butter toast and two onsen eggs. We love how the folks here have spun their own modern twist to our old-school soft-boiled eggs and toast set, replacing it with onsen eggs that were simply runny perfection.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The marriage between the silky yolk mixture and crispy toast was heavenly; we dipped the latter with the eggs, and upon biting into it, the toast would ooze salty, yet slightly sweet yolk. The kaya on the toast wasn’t cloyingly sweet either and complemented the saltiness of the eggs.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-189801" alt="Farmers and Chefs Farmers Breakfast" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Farmers-and-Chefs-Farmers-Breakfast.jpg" width="710" height="900" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Of course, we had to try their signature Farmers Breakfast (S$10). Though quite small in portion, it was still a substantial dish served on a platter full of carbs, proteins and crunchy vegetables.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The chicken was juicy and tender, and we could taste the slight char on the skin. The sautéed mushrooms were also crispy and burst apart in our mouths, oozing luscious shroom flavour.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-189800" style="font-weight: 300" alt="Farmers and Chefs Toast with Scrambled Eggs" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Farmers-and-Chefs-Toast-with-Scrambled-Eggs.jpg" width="710" height="800" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify">The scrambled egg was also creamy with a hint of milk, making it the perfect, goey topping to the buttered ciabatta! The softness of the eggs was also a nice contrast to the tough crust.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">But our favourite component in the dish is the pan-seared rosti! It was crisp on the outside, but melted in our mouths, leaving us craving for more of that potato-ey goodness.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-189799" alt="Farmers and Chefs English Breakfast Tea" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Farmers-and-Chefs-English-Breakfast-Tea.jpg" width="710" height="869" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Lastly, we had the English Breakfast Tea (S$4.50/cold). It had a fragrant aroma with floral notes. It also had an earthy, mellow flavour, going beautifully with the rich, hearty meal. There was no lingering bitter aftertaste too.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-189797" alt="Farmers and Chefs Interior" src="https://www.ladyironchef.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/Farmers-and-Chefs-Interior.jpg" width="710" height="500" /></p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Farmers and Chefs is one café in CBD that serves quality food at affordable prices. During lunch, they offer rice bowls that are priced between S$8.80 to S$13.80, while most of the pasta dishes are between S$8.80 to S$12.80. You will also be happy to know that they do not charge GST and service charge.</p>
<p style="text-align: justify">Expect to busk under the canopy and munch on delectable dishes while you escape the hustle and bustle of the city when you are here!</p>
