Dessert lovers in Singapore are truly spoiled for choice, especially with the vast array of dessert joints available. And as if we did not have enough ice cream parlours and dessert cafes, here we introduce FroRoll, a quirky new dessert cafe that recently opened up at The Venue Shoppes along Tai Thong Crescent in Potong Pasir.

FroRoll is an artisanal ice cream dessert cafe that aims to bring a refreshing twist to traditional ice cream desserts. They offer a smorgasbord of elaborate and whimsical desserts, reminiscent of something out of a Tim Burton film.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins> <ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

Upon serving, liquid nitrogen is poured over the ‘volcano’ for theatric effect and to spark some initial excitement—don’t forget to snap a video of the process for the gram!

On the other end of the taste spectrum, go for something like the Key Lime Pie (S$10.80) which is a much tarter alternative to their other dessert offerings.

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>

A fairly generous dollop of lime and calamansi ice cream sits atop a hot dog bun and is finished off with a mini key lime cake and a drizzle of a citrusy syrup. The nut brittle that comes with it adds a nice crunch and a subtle savoury element that balances out the sourness really well.

This marvellous handmade dessert – or what is better known now as Ice Cream Rolls – from Thailand has been the talk of the town of late, and we are here to check out the hype.

Ice Cream Rolls are essentially made from pouring milk on an iced grill, before continuously smashing and chopping them skillfully while mixing in various toppings, be it fruits, chocolates or even marshmallows. The slightly hardened ice cream is thereafter rolled into thin pieces and drizzled with dessert sauces – so wickedly sinful, which makes us love them more.

If you have been salivating at videos of this sweet creation on your social media feeds, you should be treating yourself to a helping already. Many ice cream parlours in Singapore have picked up on this trend, bringing these Ice Cream Rolls closer to our doorsteps and our hearts.

That being said, check out these 5 Places In Singapore To Get Ice Cream Rolls!

<ins class="adsbygoogle" style="display: inline-block; width: 336px; height: 280px;" data-ad-client="ca-pub-1199323522078805" data-ad-slot="9464314347"></ins>//

#1 21 CUBE ARTISAN ICE CREAM

21 Cube Artisan Ice Cream is conveniently located at the premises of SCAPE. Thank God we have something chilled to pamper ourselves with after all that shopping in town.

Their Ice Cream rolls are sold at S$5.90 for 2 mixers and S$4.90 for 1 mixer – with your choice of base flavours and toppings. The chewy, melt-in-your-mouth ice cream rolls definitely did justice to the latest dessert obsession, and we want more.

#2 COYORO

Good news for all the North-siders! Situated at the basement of the recently revamped Sunplaza, cOyOrO is the first stall that sells yogurt ice cream rolls. Yes, you heard us right! For those who prefer a lighter option, opt for this yogurt rendition instead.

Although the Cocoyoro (S$7.90) might seem a little pricey, it is prepared with fresh coconut, dried cranberries and even topped with a yoghurt soft-serve. With their intrinsically soft consistencies, Yogurt Ice Cream Rolls are more prone to melting, but it does not bother us because we finished ours within minutes (glutton like that).

#3 GO FROST

Go Frost is an ice cream pushcart in the vicinity of Tampines Community Club. Though it might not be the most accessible, we will travel for ice cream.

Sink your teeth into the soft and decadent Ice Cream Roll concoctions. Priced reasonably at S$4.20 a cup, some flavours to try include the Banella (Banana & Nutella), Salted Caramel and even Bundung for a local twist. Are you tempted already?

Happy Rollies first started out as a stall at the popular Geylang Serai but is now constantly rollin’ to various night markets in Singapore – with their locations regularly updated on their Facebook page so you will always be kept posted of their whereabouts!

Being a pioneer of the Ice Cream Roll trend in Singapore, we are pretty convinced they are the best. At S$5 per cup, expect to be pampered by premium ice cream flavours and toppings such as Kinder Bueno, caramel biscuits and other fruity picks to keep you sated.

#5 THE FAMOUS ICE CREAM ROLLS SHOP

Granted, it requires a certain amount of courage to proclaim oneself as The Famous Ice Cream Rolls Shop and that further sparked our curiosity to check them out. This newest addition to Thomson V Two is a cosy Halal establishment selling mainly Ice Cream Rolls with a humble cafe seating.

At S$3.90 a cup, you can select from 6 yummy flavours and it comes with 2 toppings. For additional toppings, you can get it at S$0.50 each. So is it really so good that they deserve their name? We say it is definitely worth a try!
