Commons also has an extensive dessert menu, so if you’re looking to end the day on a sweet note, this is the place to be. A family favourite, Earle by Swensen’s does not disappoint with its plethora of classic Western fare and indulgent desserts. It’s a one-stop-shop for a great meal with a timeless dessert.

Our favourites include the Battered Haddock Fish & Chips and their Pineapple Beef Rendang Baked Rice. For desserts, a staple from since Swensen’s arrived in Singapore would be their Coit Tower.

EL FUEGO BY COLLINS

For fancier palettes, hit up El Fuego by Collins. Serving up modern European halal cuisine, they offer a wide selection of tantalising dishes from appetizers to desserts.

Their Charcoal Grilled Argentine Angus Ribeye (S$28) is a must-try, along with their Glazed Spiced Duck Breast (S$20). At El Fuego, they also take desserts to another level. Give their Cacao (S$16) a taste to experience a world of different chocolate textures and flavours meld seamlessly together.

JINJJA CHICKEN

If you’re feeling peckish for some Korean fried chicken on a layover, head on down to Jinjja Chicken to satisfy your cravings. They offer all kinds of Korean fare, from noodles to rice and even tteokbokki fries.

Try their classic Jinjja Wings (S$7.90 for 6 pieces) and Jinjja Drumsticks (S$8.90 for 3 pieces); you can have them at three different spice levels – Soy Garlic (no spice), Yangnyeom (slightly spicy) and Monster (very spicy).

Jinjja Chicken also serves up a 2-in-1 jjamppong (mixed noodles) and jjajangmyeon (black bean) dish where you can have two types of noodles. You can choose between the creamy (slightly spicy) or the original flavour (spicier).

Their most popular dish, and rightfully so, is their Signature Australian Beef Boat Noodles (S$7.90). With good quality beef, a rich bone broth and smooth glass noodles, what’s not to love? Some other dishes to try are their Thai Crispy Chicken (S$6.90 for 6 pieces) and their Mango Tango mango sticky rice (S$5.50).

SAMA SAMA BY TOK TOK

Sama Sama by Tok Tok at Jewel at Changi offers elevated authentic Indonesian cuisine. It’s a must-go for those craving some spicy sambal in their grub.

One dish that you should really try is their Rawon Surabaya (S$17). Chunks of grain-fed beef that is fork-tender sits in an umami-filled broth made from traditional Javanese herbs and spices. They also freshly pound their Gado Gado (S$15) here.

SANKRANTI

For a taste of Indian cuisine, pop by Sankranti in Jewel at Changi. Donning a vibrant Indian-style decor, it’s the perfect place to enjoy some delectable spiced meats and curry. Some dishes we recommend would be their Mutton Fry Biryani (S$14) and their Sankranti Special Thali (S$12) that includes white rice with around 12 kinds of traditional Indian side dishes.

If fragrant, flavourful dishes and fresh herbs are your thing, So Pho is right up your alley with their Vietnamese speciality dishes.

Some dishes we love are their Summer Rolls with Grilled Beef and Grilled Chicken (S$4.80) and their classic Vietnamese Pho with Sliced Beef, Beef Brisket and Beef Balls (S$10.90). Their dishes are rich, flavourful and chocked with herbs to bring a vibrant freshness. So Pho, So Good.
