Balinese specialty health food establishment Clear Café is renowned for its all-encompassing menu of nourishing juices, tasty salads, sandwiches, Indonesian classics and raw/vegan dishes.

This Ubud-based café has proved to consumers that healthy food can actually taste insanely delicious.

Set foot into the multi-level café and be greeted by a splash of rainbow colours; the open-air gorgeous café is characterised by pastel-coloured wooden furniture and boasts an unrivalled view of Ubud’s tranquil countryside surroundings.

Definitely worth making a special detour if you are visiting Bali soon!

Even the author of ‘Eating For Beauty’ David Wolfe is a huge advocate of this beautiful cafe. The design might be a major draw, but we visited Clear Café primarily for its irresistible dishes. The ingredients used are sourced locally from the Island of Gods itself and the dishes are cooked in 100% pure coconut oil.

Clear Café’s menu is incredibly extensive! To the extent where diners would find themselves absolutely spoilt for choice. Kick start your meal with a power drink (RP$30) or nutritious milkshake (RP$35), before indulging in a refreshing salad (from RP$40 to RP$50).

Health junkies would be pleased to hear that the majority of Clear Café’s beverages are prepared with a superfood called Irish moss, which is essentially a seaweed jam-packed with nutritious minerals.

For something more substantial, select a wholesome sandwich (from RP$35 to RP$65), traditional Nasi Campur (RP$50) and/or Classic Mexican Cheddar Grilled Quesadillas (RP$40).

A meal here is beyond serene and we highly recommend it to any traveller who is interested in checking out Ubud’s healthy dining scene. There is also complimentary wifi at Clear Café, but do note that the café does not accept credit cards.
