hey, hmm.. i can’t rmb which beef, but i ate the buta karubi (Pork Belly), squid grilled with garlic, seafood pancake (very nicee!), and finally the Gyu-Kaku Ice cream. u can choose different seasonings for the meat like Tare, Miso, Garlic, Spicy miso etc.

hey, Gyu-Kaku’s pricing will be a lil steep, however it’s definitely worth the price! i went there, paid about 70+bucks for 2. maybe u can go there for special occasions. and do try Rocky’s Pizza at sunset way. (:

Smoochies Bristo & Chalk Restaurant is worth adding to that list
Price range… well, a regular 3-course will zap ~30-50++ for Smoochies and ~40-60+ for Chalk… Smoochies is pretty good on Thursday night (live band is quite solid)…

How about Yoshimaru Ramen at Holland Village? It’s only been open for a month plus from what I gather from the stuff. Tried the Tonkatsu Tantan Ramenjust now, not too bad.

Check out Happy Belly charcoal steamboat & bbq at Makan Sutra open air stalls next to Esplanade. Tom Yam soup highly recommended. Even got good foreign reviews. This stall is last one nearest to the seafront.

Hey there brad ! I just had an idea and decided to share it out ,

bcuz the list of restaurants n all are sooooooo long from a to z , why not put a [*] to those that are more popular n recommended so we can briefly look thru them and make our choice to patronise that restaurant when we’re trying to decide , and that also saves the time of having to browse thru all =x

The Kura no Naka bento is about $20 i think but the last time I went, it came with a salad, dashi maki for appetisers, the bento set and a small dessert(almond jelly or something) and tea. You have to walk up the stairs to the restuarant so most people bypass it on the way to the more popular restaurants at Liang court.

Kura no naka near Liang Court is a nice place for Japanese bento lunch too! It’s next door to the Bellini Grande(or something like that).. Good value-for-money!
