It’s the time of the year again for decadent mooncakes, our favourite! Every year, we look forward to Man Fu Yuan’s mooncakes and this year, expect a new lineup of snowskin mooncakes featuring German teahouse Ronnefeldt’s infusions.
Donning Man Fu Yuan’s signature rose shape, the Snowskin Mooncakes: Tea Collection features four new flavours that are both innovative and elegant. Indulge in the rich flavours of Irish Whiskey Cream Assam Tea with Milk Chocolate Truffle, Morgentau Tea and Hazelnut Chocolate Pearls, Peppermint Tea and Chia Seeds with Lemon-Hibiscus Jelly Truffle, and lastly, Soft Peach Tea with Pumpkin Seeds and a Ginger-Passionfruit Jelly Truffle.
You can also expect Man Fu Yuan’s classic Baked Mooncakes featuring luxurious white or red lotus paste with Single or Double Yolks and selection of Assorted Nut Mooncakes. Making a comeback this year is the crowd-favourite Low-Sugar White Lotus Paste Mooncake with Macadamia Nuts.
Here is what Man Fu Yuan has to offer in this year’s Mid-Autumn Festival.
The delicate Ronnefeldt Tea-Infused Snowskin Mooncakes comes in a box of 4 and is priced at S$76 per box.
For those who fancy the rich flavour of whiskey in their mooncakes without the tipsiness in their mooncakes, the Irish Whiskey Cream Assam Tea with Milk Chocolate Truffle is perfect for you. It is a delightful treat, blending the creamy taste with sweet chocolate.
If you prefer something fruity alongside chocolate, the Morgentau Tea with Hazelnut Chocolate Pearls is your best bet. There are hints of citrus and mango melded into Sencha – a perfect accompaniment to the nutty pearls speckled within.
Man Fu Yuan’s Peppermint Tea Snowskin with Chia Seeds and Lemon Hibiscus Jelly Truffle is a refreshing treat with a vibrant hidden gem of a filling. A bite of this will cause the tangy yet floral jelly to perfume your tastebuds. It’s truly one of the most unique mooncakes we have ever tried.
Last but certainly not the least, the Soft Peach Tea Snowskin with Pumpkin Seeds and Ginger Passionfruit Jelly Truffle holds a delicate flavour. Peach Tea is infused with roses and hibiscus, making every bite feel like you’re walking through a field of flowers.
For those who love simple traditional mooncakes, Man Fu Yuan’s handcrafted Baked Mooncakes also come in boxes of four. The silky White Lotus Paste Mooncakes comes with a Single Yolk (S$72) or Double Yolk (S$76). Fans of their Red Lotus Paste Mooncakes can enjoy these pastries with Single Yolk (S$68) and Double Yolk (S$72) as well. Alongside this selection is Man Fu Yuan’s Assorted Nuts Mooncakes (S$70) containing a medley of almonds, walnuts, macadamias and sesame seeds.
Everyone love mooncakes but are afraid of the sugar content that comes along with indulging in these Autumnal treats. However, with Man Fu Yuan’s Low-Sugar White Lotus Paste with Macadamia Nuts (S$72), worries begone! Just because it’s healthier doesn’t mean that it lacks in any way in terms of flavour.
