Not taking side. The self-claim stolen brand Singapore Tiramisu hero is also no hero, but again another copy cat.

Many illustrations on The Tiramisu Hero’s packaging and logo branding copying artwork heavily on British illustrator Gemma Correll’s work.

Hello ladyironchef,

There has been some concerns about Gram’s trademark practices in Japan that I think needs to be brought to everyone’s attention. They have copied from many other IPs in the past, including a Singaporean brand, Tiramisu Hero.

The original Gram cafe in Osaka was renamed “Bran Cafe” and eventually closed down after losing their customers to the new unethical Gram cafe that was posing as them. Tiramisu Hero also had to be renamed “Tiramisu Star” in Japan.

It would be best that a company such as Gram isn’t given the opportunity to flourish and potentially exploit other brands in the future. Singapore is known for its thriving and diverse food culture, which you’ve shown much appreciation for through your blog. We should give credit where it’s due to protect the earnest, hard work put in by our F&B scene.

It is up to your discretion to help spread awareness but it would be much appreciated if you’d at least remove all posts related to Gram cafe so the business no longer gets the publicity it doesn’t deserve.

Sorry, to amend the info on my previous post
The company stole Tiramisu Hero’s brand in Japan and thus our Singaporean brand use the same IP in Japan as they did in Singapore.

The one that went under was the original Gram pancakes shop, before this company also stole their menu and IP and caused the original owners(?) to go under. So this was one of their stolen IPs, like they did to TH.

Dear readers, if you have not kept up with more niche news, I am here for a PSA. The company that did this pancake cafe from Japan was the one that sunk our own local, homely brand Tiramisu Hero. Our very own Tiramisu Hero had their mascot, brand name and menu stolen from them and because of that had went under.

Please do not support this cafe.
