When planning a wedding, the aesthetic element plays a huge part in deciding who will be part of your team. Everyone wants a venue that is nicely done up and decorated, and while there may be many DIY tips online, we prefer trusting a professional with the big task of beautifying ours.
That is a wedding stylist. You may think he/she is dispensable, but we are telling you – he/she will make or break your wedding. A wedding stylist is someone who will conceptualise your ideas and translate them into reality. His/her team will be in-charge of sourcing for props and decorating your wedding venue with them.
Our wedding stylist, The 1984 Store, proved to be the best choice for our Big Day #BradMelWedding. The dedicated team took care of the decor and styling of both our solemnisation and banquet venues single-handedly, and it took a big load off our minds.

We had dreams of the perfect venue; we had dreams of walking down the beautiful aisle. We had dreams of our guests seated in the most wonderful settings; we had dreams of endless photo spots all over our wedding ballrooms.
The 1984 Store made all of them happen with a customised rustic travel theme, complete with fresh flowers and photos of us scattered all over – just the way we liked it to be.
Fresh flowers were used too as part of the decoration. We love the soft, sweet scent that filled the air and the gorgeous fresh peonies.
And we had our wedding vows printed and laminated. It is something we are going to keep forever.
This was the set-up for our solemnisation, and the table consisted bits and pieces of our lives, with props and photos depicting our stories.
And this was a glimpse of the set-up at the cocktail reception of our lunch banquet. Every corner of the hall was filled with bits and pieces of our story, and like a book, our guests discovered more about us as they went on with the “pages”.
No efforts were spared in beautifying the entire venues.

Remember that you have the choice to keep your event space empty (and boring) or to impress your guests with a memorably-styled space. We had no regrets engaging these great guys and we are comforted to know that our guests took so many photos for keepsake; they are all meaningful photos that we can look back on and reminisce our wedding with!
