How To DIY Fun & Simple Ice Popsicle At Home – Great For Summer Parties

Ice Popsicles Recipe

Ice popsicles are our best friends in summer. They are refreshing, often pretty, and very satisfying.

Do you know they are one of the easiest things to prepare? Quite contrary to the funny recipes you see online with a hundred steps, we actually live by some simple recipes that do not require over-the-top ingredients and harder-than-rocket-science instructions.

In our tropical climate, it is always important to keep your bodies hydrated and popsicles are probably one of the best remedies. If you are health-conscious, we have a recipe using only fresh fruits, with no added sugar. If you’re a chocolate-addict, we have a special popsicle made from pure chocolate fudge.

Here is our take on How To DIY Fun & Simple Ice Popsicle At Home!

To begin, you need ice popsicle moulds. They come in several shapes and sizes, are inexpensive, and are mostly available in hyper marts, baking shops and Daiso.

Citrus Ice Pops

What you need:
- 3 limes (get large ones, and not the small ones typically used in chilli sauce)
- 2 grapefruits
*serves four

1. Juice grapefruits after halving them and strain the juice into a cup.
2. Zest half a lime for an extra oomph. Half 2 limes.
3. Juice them and strain them all into the same cup.
4. Slice the remaining lime into 4 pieces and discard the two ends.
5. Place sliced lime into ice mould first, before pouring the mixed citrus juice in.
6. Freeze for 4-6 hours. Enjoy.

Matcha Aloe Vera Ice Pops

What you need:
- matcha powder (use real matcha powder)
- 1/4 cup aloe vera
- 1/2 cup full cream milk
*serves four

1. Stir 2 teaspoons of matcha powder in boiling water for a concentrated mixture.
2. Once cooled, pour into the 1/2 cup of full cream milk. Mix.
3. Place about a tea spoon of aloe vera into each ice popsicle mould.
4. Pour cooled matcha mixture into mould.
5. Freeze for 4-6 hours. Enjoy

Chocolate Fudge Nepolitan Ice Pops

What you need:
- strawberry ice cream
- vanilla ice cream
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate
- 1/2 cup black coffee
- 1/2 cup full cream milk
*serves four

1. Melt chocolate in low heat over boiling water until almost fully melted.
2. Add the milk in slowly, little by little, while continuing to mix.
3. Once milk is fully mixed in, add your chilled black coffee in.

6. Freeze for 4-6 hours. Enjoy.
