Here are a few more things:

- Eat local, sleep local. It won’t kill you (most of the time) and you may even like it
- Take chances but don’t be stupid. Stupid will kill you.
- What you consider weird will be normal somewhere else.
- Never rush from place to place, the best things happen after you’ve been somewhere for a few days.
