Thanks for this list. I am actually looking to get a plain rainbow chiffon cake (without all those creamy layers) but while there are lots of recipes online, can’t seem to find any baker that does it. Do you know if any? Pls recommend!

Le Chocolat Cafe had closed down unfortunately. This was the best rainbow cake I ever had! Such a pity they decided to cease their operation.

I’m recommending La Petite Artisan at Toa Payoh. Best rainbow cake in town
My daughter’s cake was so delicious and beautifully done up that even the teachers asked me for their number. All the kids requested for more haha.. oh the customised cakes are all non icing so its really good for kids too……YUMMY

Today I tasted the best rainbow cake ever at Forum Mall at Benjamin Brown. Each layer has its own flavor and frosting including strawberry, orange, mango, pistachio. The frostings has real fruits in then like mango, orange and strawberry. It blew our mind away. Absolutely must try.

Like VI I like The Bakery Chef’s rainbow cake! It’s not too sweet & neither is it dry. the best part is the price is not too ridiculous & it’s near to my home! I haven’t tried many rainbow cake around our little island but I do have a vague idea of what I would consider the ideal rainbow cake.

Attended a friend’s birthday party at hougang recently and they had ordered a natural rainbow cake from (i think) a website called dough empire. it was truly delectable. Had a light fruity taste and frosting of yogurt cream cheese (no buttercream) which we all lapped up.

The best i’ve had so far and i’m not even a cake fan. Two thumbs up.

I would give my vote to w39 bistro rainbow cake,as their cake’s cream frosting is made of lemon which I found it not too “jelak” after eating.I don’t like lynn’s cakes which I found too “jelak” after eating a few mouth.sorry if I have offended anybody,:-(

Sun Ray Cafe next door to Coffee Daily also does rainbow cake. It’s been very dry lately (served with buttercream), but the cafe is dog-friendly.

THE BEST RAINBOW CAKE I HAD SO FAR & their price are reasonable too, despite their effort was beautifully done & taste was fantastic deliriously!

Agreed. dun go coffee daily…. the serving of the rainbow cake serving in diff size. & riddic price of $10..packed in a box.
Well me & my husband went once.. my husband says nothing special & cost $10 for a small piece is totally NOT Worth. He doesn’t even wanna go again…

Sunday night, I brought my kids to I Am cafe again. We had been there 2 times prior last night. This time we ordered their rainbow cake(3rd time I’m ordering within this month!), red velvet and salted caramel. I am’s rainbow cake is a huge portion and a pretty sight for $8.90. But their red velvet and salted caramel taste much better than their rainbow cake.

I tried NOM yesterday. I find their rainbow cake ordinary. A bit dry, and like other normal cakes. Salted caramel was sold out seconds before I wanted to place my order. Oreo rainbow cake didn’t have any lasting impression on me. But I definitely don’t fancy the chocolate rainbow. But other than that NOM serves other tasty treats like beer battered fish and chips and over-priced pizzas. But this cafe is worth a try and complete your meal with their rainbow cakes.:)

NOM’s rainbow cake are awesome n wholesome! Not too sweet for peeps who don’t need a surge of sugary rush but gives a sense of comfort when the buttery sponge melt in your month with a burst of the chocolate ganache or the salted caramel. Heaven!

NOM has rainbow cakes too, and in three different flavours. Salted Caramel, Chocolate, and Oreo. It’s not too sweet and the icing is delicious. You get to see the pastry chef at work through the glass-windowed baking station too =)

Has anyone mention the rainbow cake at Au Chocolat at MBS? Level of sweetness is just nice but price is at the steep side – $13 a slice

Another place to try out for rainbow cakes is at NOM – Bistro & Bakery, located at Macpherson Community Centre, Level 1. They serve pretty unique flavours like Salted Caramel Rainbow Cake, Oreo Rainbow Cake and Chocolate Rainbow Cake. Pocket-friendly too, with no GST & Service Charge. Definitely tastes as good as it looks!

You should to try the rainbow cake at Dean & DeLuca. It has nice combinations of fruits fragrance… Love that flavour that infuse your palate. Yummmmmmm
