Hi, may I know how to get to Home’s Food Thai Food (87/2 Tayna Road Kata Beach, near Easy Rider Pub)? I can’t find the exact location on google map. I would love to visit that place with my girlfriend as she is a glutton and a fan of your blog.

@Dom Sorry to hear that you had stomachache. We ate there almost everyday during two trips and it was perfectly fine for us. Hope you had fun in Phuket, despite the diarrhoea.

I ate at homes food twice following the recommendation on this blog, and initially my partner and I thought we had stumbled on a gem… However, I got pretty bad diarrhoea the first time, which I put down to eating too much thai food in general, though I don’t normally have that problem. So we went back there a week or so later and I got real bad diarrhoea again not much fun! My partner didn’t have a problem, though we ate some different dishes I think. So maybe be careful with this restaurant if your stomach is even slightly sensitive. One recommendation I can throw in is Viking restaurant, which is not too pricy and is delicious Scandinavian food.

Very interesting post on Phuket. I particularly love the photos. You’ve expanded my view of Phuket beyond the romantic, sea view restaurants, which look lovely but not as interesting as some of the city coffee shops. I’m looking forward to visiting some of these places when I visit Phuket this week, particularly Re Ka Ta.

Hi,
I have some questions about the aspasia hotel, as I’m planning to go and stay there:
- Is there a lot of lizards in the room? What about balcony?
- how easy is the transportation?
- how was the room? Is it noisy or very quiet? I saw in some reviews that the connecting door is not covering the noise from the other room.
Can you help to share your experience on this?
