I just want to comment that even though its been written that they work 11 am - 9.30 pm, they close their kitchens in the afternoon. When I got there around 3.30 pm, we were informed that the kitchen was closed and the only options we had were the appetizers and pizzas.

Left very disappointed and my girlfriend upset that she "ruined" my birthday.

My first time there after reading this review. Tried the truffle toast and don't like it at all. Very simple and overpriced of course. I don't mind paying for a nice brunch but it has to be worthwhile of cos.

My boyfriend ordered the greek yogurt and was ok. The coffee we had were normal too. Nothing to shout about.

Wouldn't come here again, to be honest.

So disappointed...
I used to read your reviews religiously, and believed (but seldom tried) your recommendations.
But! seeing Club street social here in ANY capacity, and especially "one of the best, if not THE best"... I don't know what to say... Club Street Social is BY FAR, the worst place I've ever been to in Singapore, and just to make sure, I tried it 3 times. (I was forced in the last one).
The service: Horrible. Long and grouchy.
The food: Horrible. Pricey, boring, bland and 0 bang for your buck. Bad presentation, bad flavours, tiny ammounts with nothing on the side... bad bad bad!
The decor: Horrible. impersonal, wannabe NewYorker without the substance, and again, bland and boring.
The Owner... that's the cherry on top. Stuck-up, prissy and just like her decor: wannabe NewYorker without the substance.

Sorry for this rant, but I stand behind every word. And if you think this is the best brunch in Singapore, You have no idea what brunch is, and sorry to say... what a good restaurant is all about.

went there for brunch after reading this post and I was extremely appalled by the service provided.

I went there with 3 friends and we were given 2 tables that were joined together. 2 of us were there first. while waiting for the 3rd friend, we ordered the maincourse and drinks first. one of the service staff came over and asked very rudely if the friend is coming as they may need the table, and that they don't do reservations. however, at that point in time, there will still tables available, and no one was entering the restaurant.

since my friend was only going to reach after another 15minutes, we ordered a main course for her first. 5minutes later, the same waiter came over and ask if the friend was going to arrive soon. we then mentioned that we already ordered a main course for her and she will be arriving shortly. he then said that we will have to squeeze 3 people at one table. this is totally ridiculous because there were still tables available, no one was coming into the restaurant, and furthermore, there were several groups of 3 people, why is that we are the ones who have to squeeze into 1 tiny table?

as we were having our meals, when we weren't done eating, that same waiter kept coming over and want to clear our plates away. hello dude, we haven't even finish eating! and after he cleared the plates away, he THREW the receipt on the table and walked away. 10minutes later, he came and asked very rudely if we are ready to pay. and that they need the table. there were no customers walking in, and since the restaurant don't take reservations. why is there a need to chase us away?? and the waiter was so rude it was appalling.

after we made payment, he told us the same thing again and ask us to leave. when I asked him for his name, he started getting defensive and even raised his voice. he then said that I can talk to his boss, which I gladly accepted. 5 minutes later he came back and just threw the name card on the table and said that u can feedback to this email here, and then he walked away. you call this service???

when asked for his name, he replied that it was unnecessary and refused to give. and when asked to speak to the manager, he said that he is the manager and then just walked away.

if this waiter is the manager, then what can u expect more from the rest of the waiters? worse service? and no apologies were made for the terrible service provided!

what's even more appalling is that it seems like we were being discriminated. most of the tables there were Caucasians and they didn't seem to face the same problem as we did.

given such horrible service and discrimination. I really wouldn't recommend anyone to go there, at all.

to give them some credits, the food was not bad, but not fantastic.

Brad, I beg to differ (regarding the desserts). The nutella bread pudding is pretty damn divine in my opinion, maybe you caught them on a day where it was less than satisfactory and that's sad to hear.

But otherwise I was also totally impressed with Club Street Social. Didn't expect the food to impress me so much but it was just gorgeous. Everything was.
