my friend and I was going to catch a movie at GV Katong. When we spotted an unusual Japanese Tonkatsu Specialty House”Katsuya”. They have fish, oyster, prawn, chicken, pork of course, beef and even Lamb. They signature dish heard to be the Lamb Katsu/Fry. We have it a shot… and really it was good:) Crispy outside and could even have medium finish in the inside. It’s pretty affordable too. Maybe its because off city area. They are known to pair Tonkatsu with wine. Really gd. Chef is local but with Japan Chef’s Licence. Not bad leh…

Try saboten at millenia walk. For some reason, saboten at changi airport is not as good as the one in millenia walk.

IMHO, I have tasted the most tender of Tonkatsu’s at a small restaurant near my work place. Its called Katsuya along East Coast Road, check it out! Pair it with their wine!
