Stepping into Pierre Hermé in Paris for the first time was a magical experience.
Akin to taking the plane for the very first time; reading the first book in the Harry Potter series; the first time guys put on a tuxedo suit, or for the ladies, getting their first pair of heels when they reach 17; and finally meeting your idol in person – it is one of those life changing first experiences that makes you go “wow, oh my god.”
That’s how it was like for me when I went to Pierre Hermé’s patisserie in Paris. Upon stepping inside the pastry shop, I felt like a kid in Disneyland. The cakes on display looked so good, and I wanted to get all of them. Well, I would have done that, if my friends didn’t stopped me.
I actually visited Pierre Hermé several times during my stay in Paris. For the first trip, we tried several macarons, together with the famous Pierre Herme’s Ispahan, Plaisir Sucre, and Mille Feuille. Everything was perfect.
Before my flight back to Singapore, I went to the patisserie and grabbed a few dozens of Pierre Herme macarons, intending to give them to my good friends. But somehow, they never made it. All of them ended up in my stomach. Oops.
Pierre Hermé in Paris. Ticked off on my bucket list.

how much is one man?
I can so empathise with how you feel. Felt exactly the same way when I first stepped into Sadaharu Aoki’s dessert boutique in Taipei!
Which macaron flavour did you like best? Did you get to try the limited edition for this month, Macaron Jardin Marin? Wonder what it tastes like…
Thought the passionfruit flavored ones are the best at Pierre Herme. After some Macaroons there, can’t find anything close in Sg.
They all look amazing! Which flavor was your favorite?
Oh my god, I stumbled upon this while currently in my school’s library and I’m trying to prevent myself from drooling. Everything looks so delicious, I’m tempted to drop all of my homework and just go to a bakery :X
Once you’ve tasted all the amazing orgasmic baked goods in Paris nothing in this country can satisfy even the worst of cravings. TRUFAX.
I am so going to visit PH when i go to Tokyo this month end! Their Macarons and Pietra Chocolate truffles are seriously to die for!
Do u think they are better than Laduree?
I’ve always been a loyal fan of Laduree and have yet to try Pierre Hermes
@Ad I personally prefer Pierre Herme to Laduree. Sadaharu Aoki is also very good.
omg… any chance for this to be available in sg?
omg it’s awesome!!! especially the passion frutit and chocolate flavour! thanks for posting, wouldn’t have hunted it in paris if not for your post!
