If you have any other suggestions for a nice Japanese buffet that doesn’t exceed $45 as I am still a student so the price is a little bit of a problem.

For the Indian Food buffet i would highly recommend haveli restaurant, just nearby katong shopping center, the price for dinner buffet is only 25$ were for lunch only 15$ what is so cheap especially that the food quality is simply awesome, and in general its mt favourite indian restaurant in singapore

just returned from Oscar’s at The Conrad from a buffet dinner with my wife. It was really really really bad, both in quality and variety. The curry was horrible, meat was hard. The laksa station was also a let down. Your ridiculous comment on Oscar’s being better than The Line is absolute rubbish. Because of you, we wasted calories and time on sub-standard food. The sushi variety was limited to some sprinklings of sashimi and hard sushi. I have never written a comment on any site till now about my epicurean adventures, but i felt it necessary to warn others about Oscar’s. Your positive comments on Oscar’s leaves me to believe on other hidden intentions as the restaurant was also pretty empty for a Friday evening. Again, Cheers for wasting our time and ruining a Friday evening.

Try the Oscar’s at Conrad Hotel. It’s really good. Has both variety and quality. It’s better den The Line in Shangri-La.

No one writes about the Oscar at conrad. It used to have a good campaigne brunch. Good mix of local, fresh seafood (oyster, Japanese) and BBQ. Price is a little high. There is no write up on orchard hotel,

My comment on various:
The line- you will always find something nice but not great
Ritz – nothing special or signature
Melt – good value

Actually – we eat fish – not shellfish. So we love sushi, sashimi.
Think we’ll give it a go.
