Dessert tables are all the rage these days for all events, and no event is complete without an attention-grabbing spread of desserts.
Because we are such suckers for desserts ourselves, we needed a massive dessert table on both days of our weddings. That was pretty much a prerequisite of #BradMelWedding, and it was something we placed much emphasis on for we knew it wouldn’t just be us who would get all excited over a table of colourful sweets.
Planning this wasn’t difficult at all with Creme Maison Bakery, who knew exactly how a dessert table should be done. Tell them your requirements and preferred desserts and they will bring a wonderland to your wedding. Well, they did for ours.
Speculoos Cookie Butter, or Cookie Butter in short, has been famed for its nutty and creamy flavour worldwide. This spread is essentially made with baked cookies, before crushing and mixing them with oil until they become a mouth-watering spread – akin to the texture and colour of peanut butter, but even better. We love cookie butter for its addictive taste and would eat it straight from the jar if it was not so fattening.
Speculoos Cookie Butter spread has been leaving its mark across desserts as one of the ultimate ingredient that can never go wrong – macarons, cakes, waffles, ice cream – you name it, they would probably have dominated it all already.

After sinking our teeth into the fluffy and moist cupcakes while scrambling to lick off its icing sugar – we were sold.
I have been on a lookout for the best cupcakes in Singapore, and I think my adventure can end with Plain Vanilla Bakery. They are one of my new favourite cupcake places.
I’ve always loved cupcakes and I am really happy to see the cupcake trend slowly picking up in Singapore. Plenty of cupcake bakeries have sprung up in the past year and it is really exciting for a dessert lover like me.
One of the new places that serve cupcakes is Cupcakes with Love – a full fledged cupcake cafe at Tanjong Katong. A nice cafe which sells nothing but cupcakes. How cool is that?
