
Peach Garden Chinese Restaurant @ OCBC Centre 33rd Floor is co-owned by Angela Ho and Veronica Tan, former managers of the established Hua Ting restaurant. The pair struck out on their own in 2002, and the rest like they say, were history. Peach Garden is now one of the Chinese restaurants on the radar of corporates.
Located at the 33rd floor, the restaurant offers diners a splendid bird’s eye view of the Singapore River and the city area.

Fortunate Xin Fu Yum Cha Restaurant should be quite a familar name with most people, largely due to their heavily advertisements on TV. The other being Yum Cha restaurant which also did a lot of TV advertisements. Their main branch is located at Toa Payoh, with a second added at Intenational Building, Orchard Road (beside Lido Scotts) which i say makes it easier for patrons to visit them because of the accessible location.
Anyway, Fortunate Yum Cha is currently having a promotion, 50% off Dim Sum during weekdays 3-5pm, and i must admit that’s the main reason which draws me to the place.

The last time i went to Red Star was a couple of months ago, and then didn’t have much pictures to show of due to the poor lighting. But today, i had a good seat with good lighting, so ladyironchef proudly presents the Dim-sum from Red Star. Taa-daa!!

Siew Mai
Well well, Siew Mai seems to be a must-have item for Dim Sum, if it is the garge to judge a Dim sum restaurant’s standard, Red Star definitely pass the test with flying colours. The Siew Mai is good, unlike the normal ones where eating one or two will makes you bloated, the one here are chewey, and after having two, another two shan’t be much of a problem.

Egg tarts! My fav hong kong pastries. Leong Sang is at Sago street, off Smith street there. Now the chinatown market is under renovation, so might be a bit diff to spot the shop.

Anyway, chinatown has quite a number of stores selling HK pastries, but i prefer Leong Sang egg tart. Why? To me, the egg tart must have crispy tart skin, once you bite into it, u’ll get a wonderrful feeling. Second, the egg itself must be smooth. Leong Sang egg tart possesses this two main qualities. At $0.80 per tart, it is consider reasonable.

Had Business lunch at Yum Cha restaurant, one of the more commonly recognize Dim-Sum restaurant in Singapore probably due to their TV advertisements. The other one which will come to my mind thinking of dim-sum will be Fortunate Restaurant also because of their TV adverts.
The menu was done up very nicely and shows colorful, attractive pictures of the dim-sum. The place was quite full, so we had to wait a while before the food was served. The service was all right i guess, we can get the attention of the waitress quite easily.
The Dim-sum taste and looks good, price is reasonable i guess, although u cant compare it with a dim-sum buffet. We had cheong fun, carrot cake, xiaolongbao, glutinous rice in lotus leaf, chicken giant bun, steamed bean curd skin roll, steamed pork ribs, har gao, century egg congee, fried vegetarian spring roll.
Personally my fav dim sum will be egg tart, siew mai, char shao siew, and glutinous rice in lotus leaf. Yum Cha also have dim-sum buffet, its available from 3pm-6pm at $16.80 per person. So if u are a big eater, go on and have the buffet.
Quite a wide range of dim-sum available, too many for you to taste it all.
