Galta Gelato Parco Marina Bay

Galta Ice Cream

I’m sure many of you know that I have been on a yogurt craze recently. Somebody convinced me of the benefits of having yogurt, and up till now, I still couldn’t believe that I actually came up with a list of yogurt places in Singapore.

Even though I am currently addicted to yogurt, it doesn’t hurt to have ice cream occasionally. When I walked by Galta Gelato Italiano Artigianale – a new gelato/ice cream place at Parco Marina Bay; any resistance was fruitless and I immediately surrendered to two scoops of gelato.

It was a shame that my friend didn’t like vanilla gelato as Galta Gelato had very good vanilla flavor. I went for the Hazelnut ($4.5 for double scoop) and was rewarded with a scoop of smooth and immensely rich hazelnut gelato. If I didn’t remember wrongly, the Imperial Dark was made up of 95% dark chocolate and surprisingly, it wasn’t as bitter as I thought. While it was extremely dark, there’s a subtle hint of the pure chocolate finesse and I actually like it.

I could just stand in front of the ice cream kiosk all day long and try out the different samples. Give me vanilla, give me the pistachio please, and I wouldn’t say no to the unique Stracciatella flavor too!

If you are shopping at the new Parco Marina Bay, why not have a scoop of gelato from Galta Gelato Italiano Artigianale?

That Gelato looks so good. We were recently in Europe and forgot to stop in an get some authentic gelato before we had to leave. We were so disapointed! We’ll just have to go back. Thanks for the post.

I recently visited a small cafe/patisserie along east coast road which i believe you would appreciate.
Their quality ingredients produced tempting and delicious desserts which left me raving for more. Heres a link to a review on them for your reference http://foodieah.blogspot.com/2010/08/pave.html.
I think they do have some potential, however, i am not an expert so hope to get your opinion on this!

Oh that looks decadent and yet very forgiving on the senses, if not the waistline later on… for how can one just have a single scoop? More, please, more! :)

I had Galta today too! Had the 100% dark chocolate ice-cream. Really rich and dark. I love it :)

Was just talking with a few folks yesterday and they recommended this too! Must give this a try when I’m nearby. With circle line now it’s so much easier to get to Millenia Walk.

John: you were in Europe and you didn’t get to eat ANY gelato?!? omg! haha yea that’s like the perfect excuse to go back Europe again!

Irene Pinto: whoa, i have been hanging out in the East area recently, and i didn’t know of this new cake shop! thanks for the heads up, will check it out when i am in the east : )

LFB: forget about your waistline, and just finish your scoop!

Angeline: Ho ho, it’s good stuff yeah

Claudia: hahaha yea but if u are not on Circle line, it can be quite a hassle to get to Parco Marina Bay

The gelato is incomparision to coccogelo at east coast. Coccogelo offers much more rich and intense flavours.

Looks wonderful! I sampled some great gelato when I was in Rome. Ice cream and gelato are not the same, though. Ice cream is made with heavy cream, whereas gelato is made with milk. So you get the flavors more instead of the heavy cream taste lingering on your tongue when you have gelato.

Recently I went to Sigapore for a business trip. I stop at Galta, for a refreshing Ice cream, but honestly I was disappointed for the bad quality.
That is not at all the original Italian Ice Cream. It’s fake
