10 Best Singapore Restaurants Website

The White Rabbit

The White Rabbit’s Website

I firmly believed that all restaurants must have a proper website, if not, at the very least a blog, to update customers about the latest happenings. While word of mouth recommendations are still vital for the food & Beverage industry; lets face it – people will most likely google and search for information about a restaurant before they make their decision on where to go for dinner.

Some of the criteria for my list of Best Singapore Restaurants Website include: having a pleasant website design, usability, time taken to load, helpful information like address, contact details, as well as having the menu online with pricing. All the factors will help to influence the final decision on whether the customer will go to a particular restaurant.

If someone is looking for ‘Buffet in Singapore‘, or Dempsey Road Restaurants, chances are – they google. Or even better, if they know your restaurant name, they can directly search, for example: “Breakfast at Epicurious Singapore.” So, if a restaurant does not even have a proper site, how the hell are we going to find it on the World Wide Web? Make sense?

Here’s 10 Best Singapore Restaurants Websites that I like:

Candlenut Kitchen Singapore

Candlenut Kitchen

The logo of Candlenut Kitchen, the simple-yet-chic overall feel of the page is the reason why I included in my list of Best Singapore Restaurants Website. Just to sidetrack, there have been good reviews of the new Pernakan restaurant in Singapore, has anyone been there already?

25 Neil Road Singapore

http://www.candlenutkitchen.com/

Dempsey House

I was actually in two minds over the grid and map-alike website of Dempsey House. On one hand, I like it because there’s plenty of useful information about the entire House group. But on the other, the flash website is a little too flashy for my liking. But still, the functionality won me over, and I thought you should take a look at the site.

8D Dempsey Road #01-01 to 06 Tanglin Village (Dempsey Road) Singapore
Tel: +65 6475 7787
http://www.dempseyhouse.com/

Food For Thought

Food for Thought

I’m a sucker for simplistic and clean design. Food For Thought’s website is the classic example of that. Contact information, checked. Detailed menu with description and pricing, checked. That’s all you really need.

420 North Bridge Road #01-06 North Bridge Centre Singapore
Tel: +65 6338 8724

8 Queen Street Singapore
Tel: +65 6338 9887

Hairloom & Caramel

Another blog instead of proper website, Hairloom & Caramel’s page is colorful, vibrant, and funky. While the yellow strips background can be quite annoying at times, the site is the perfect representation of the whimsical cafe. Salon, Cafe, Home.

100 Beach Road #01-50/52 Shaw Towers Singapore
Tel: +65 6295 2188

Kichn

“Cooking up recipes is great, but cooking up a storm is better.”

With such a catchy tagline, I am starting to like Kichn already! Initially when I entered the website, I was confused by all the different quotes like ‘Embrace your rights to choose’, ‘Satisfying Gastronomical tantrums’ and I even tried to click on them to see if there’s any link! That aside, I like the whole black-and-white look, or rather for the lack of design. Contact information, opening details, and detailed menu – all the fundamentals for a good restaurant website.

180 Albert Street #01-05 Albert Court Village Hotel Singapore
Tel: +65 6333 0015
http://www.kichn.com/

Nandos Singapore

Nandos Singapore

One of the more playful and interactive website, Nandos Singapore has created a flash platform. I am not a big fan of flash website as ‘bad flash’ can really give me a headache. But once in a while, a colorful and cheerful website can help to lighten the mood.

200 Victoria Street #01-85 Bugis Junction Singapore
Tel: +65 6338 6555
http://www.nandos.com.sg

The Garden Slug

Among the 10 Best Singapore Restaurants’ Website that I have mentioned, The Garden Slug’s blog probably will not win for best design. But for what the site lacked in chic design and pretty photos, they made up for it with blog posts that have a personal touch.

55 Lorong L Telok Kurau #01-59/61 Bright Centre Singapore
Tel: +65 6346 0504
http://blog.thegardenslug.com/

The White Rabbit

Seriously, is this even a website? It looks more like a pop-up card, it’s like a toy to play with! There’s something different about the whole concept of The White Rabbit, it’s literally like going down the rabbit’s hole to find Alice – totally magical!

39C Harding Road Singapore
Tel: +65 6473 9965

3InchSin

3inchsin

I have been wanting to go to 3 Inch Sin at Cluny court as many friends have raved that they served the best warm chocolate chocolate cakes in Singapore. The whole presentation looks very cute, and after discovering that there’s bitter orange, hazelnut, raspberry, peanut butter, and white chocolate cakes on the menu of 3 Inch Sin; it just makes me want to make a trip down, now!

501 Bukit Timah Road #02-27 Cluny Court Singapore
Tel: +65 6314 1217

1 Caramel

Among the Dessert Places in Singapore, I like 1 Caramel’s for the white and easy-to-navigate website. Lychee Rose, Strawberry shortcake anyone?

6 Handy Road #01-01A The Luxe Singapore
Tel: +65 6338 3282

// Updated: Seventh Heaven

I decided to add in Seventh Heaven after a shout-out in the comments by thiang. Seventh Heaven is an Ice Cream Place in Singapore located at Raeburn Park, some of you might have seen their new outlet at Resorts World Sentosa too. Their website is whimsical, and absolutely magical! Definitely one of the Best Singapore Restaurants’ Website!

Haha. I agree with you that websites are very important. Everyone is living in the digital age and it’s more effective in selling their brands online. Like Awfully Chocolate, http://www.awfullychocolate.com/! I love their way of selling. We can just purchase online and collect it when we are free. Shopping for food online is damn cool.

Another website is Seven On Club’s. Not exactly the “best” design but http://www.seveonclub.com do features their specialties and even the menu is up there! Very informative. :)

please try candlenut! i love the yeye’s curry and ngoh hiang! i’m not much of a chendol fan though their chendol cream is pretty decent. i’d prefer the mango soup though d= but they make their ice-cream themselves so the quality is definitely there! (=

would never go back again. overrated and overpriced. the egg tasted like sth my maid can whip up. grandparents did not appreciate the ‘twist’ to tradititional dishes. servings were jus ridiculously small. waitress spilt drink n did not apologize. curry tasted like thick flavorless soup.
