Hello my name is Brad! What’s yours?
July 7, 2009 | 90 Comments
Updated: If you just see this post, I’m still waiting for your comment!
Let’s do something fun!
Because I’m the way I’m (thinking of lunch when I just start breakfast, lusting after dinner when I’m with lunch. And missing supper when I goes out with dinner). I constantly need to find new food partners; folks who share the same taste buds as me, are willing to travel for food, and most importantly, love food!
I ask you some questions, and you answer. Please, to all my beloved silent readers out there, don’t leave me blogging here alone like a fool, do you have any idea how it feels like to be talking with yourself all the time? Post and give me your answer!
1. Hello my name is Brad! What’s yours?
2. How did you discover/stumble upon this very delicious food blog?
3. Why did you like reading my food blog?
4. What’s the last thing you ate?
5. Your idea of a good breakfast is:
- A very hearty English brunch; pancakes, waffles, and egg benedicts
- Dim sum! Give me the har gau, siew mai, and char siew sou anytime!
- Porridge with fried youtiao, and some light snacks
- Wanton mee, carrot cake, fishball noodles
- A slice of white bread and a cup of milk
- Others please specify:
6. How often do you eat out?
- I’m broke this month, and oh, next month too, not eating out!
- Eating out? Having dinner at the nearest fastfood restaurant?
- Once a week, or maybe twice, depending on my craving
- The start of a new day is for us to feast; dine and wine my dear!
7. What are some things that’s always fully stocked in your fridge?
8. Which food best describes you?
9. When you have a sudden craving for a particular food:
- Change and rush down to have it (even if it’s on the far side)
- Call my spouse/boyfriend/girlfriend/parents to help me buy
- Sulk and be upset for the whole day, constantly thinking about it
- Forget about it, what’s the big fuss about cravings?
10. Savoury or sweet?
- I have a sweet tooth. I love, adored or any word you can think of, desserts
- Some sweets after a meal will be nice, but that depends on my wallet
- Don’t make me laugh, I do not, I repeat do not touch sweet stuffs at all
If you read my blog often enough, you will probably know my answers (will blog about it soon), let me hear from you! I want to know everything, start typing already! Lets see who can be my food partner with the highest score!

A1: Hanxue
A2: Quite some time back, I googled for Obolo and I chanced upon this site, and since then, im still here!
A3: Great pictures, honest opinions, and frequent updates = I like.
A4: Strawberry Yogurt.
A5: Warm pancakes with lots of butter and maple syrup or a good ganola cereal with cold milk if im on the go.
A6: Once a week, or maybe twice, depending on who im with or where I am.
A7: Milk, Chocolate milk, Eggs, Butter, Cereal, Yogurt, Fruits
A8: Macaron. Petite, but deadly. Haha!
A9: If its nearby, why not? If its far away, try to find a substitute in the fridge and satisfy that craving the next time I head out.
A10: I like both, desserts after a good meal is mmmmhh-mmmmhh. But if I had to choose it will be sweet, cause I love desserts, pastries and all things sweet!
=D

1 – Mike
2 – I think from Camemberu (which I found via google)
3 – I love eating out/trying new food, and find food blogs the only real good source of restaurants/reviews/recommendations in Singapore
4 – Copious amounts of Korean BBQ as I just returned from Seoul
5 – I am an ang moh, and my breakfast habits are in-line with that – definitely A very hearty English brunch; pancakes, waffles, and egg benedicts
6 – I eat out a few times/week… if I’m traveling for work I eat out for all my meals!!
7 – Cheese! I love cheese.
8 – Fajitas – an eclectic mix of ingredients that is messy, but the end result tastes great!
9 – My sudden cravings trigger meticulous planning to find the best possible location to satisfy said craving
10 – I like sweets, but given the choice between appetizer + main or main + dessert, I almost always settle for appetizer + main. That being said, sometimes I’m a glutton and try and eat all 3…

Brad, FYI your comment section doesn’t work in Google Chrome… the ‘Submit’ button doesn’t appear.
As for best cheese – unfortunately my favorites are from South America and they are impossible to find here! The closest we can get is Halumi which is imported from Cyprus.
Maybe someday I invite you over to sample some Venezuelan food – empanadas and arepa and carne mechada… while not the most photo-genic food, I guarantee you the taste is excellent! E-mail me and we will coordinate something… this food cannot be found in any restaurants in Singapore!
July 9th, 2009 @ 12:46 pm

Hi, i’m Christie.. Just saw this post, think my comment came real late…
I came to know about this delicious blog through other foodblog link. I loved reading this blog as the photos make me hungry and i like the type of foods are widely spread. As for my ideal breakfast, it will be a piping hot traditional coffee with Kaya and butter toast or if i have time it will be DIM SUM! I will dine out once or twice to try different cuisines and foods round Singapore. When i have the craving, i will ask my friends/ family to have the food with me. Lastly, i think i’m a bit selfish here, i would choose both (sweet and savoury)as I loved DESSERT and Chinese Food!
Thank you for sharing those posts! Keep up the Good Work
October 4th, 2009 @ 6:20 am
Hello Christie: No you are not late, i’m glad you leave your comment! : ) yeah speaking of dim sum, it’s been a while since i last had dim sum, ok i’m gonna blog about dim sum next week, there’s one post that i haven write on yet! hehe thank you for your kind words, please drop by often yeah!

1. Hello my name is Brad! What’s yours?
Hi, my name is Sara!
2. How did you discover/stumble upon this very delicious food blog?
I saw you in hungrygowhere.
3. Why did you like reading my food blog?
Great photography and detailed write-ups on the restaurants..
4. What’s the last thing you ate?
Crinkle-cut French fries.
5. Your idea of a good breakfast is:
French fries, preferably crinkle-cut or steak fries. I eat them every day, first thing in the morning. The rest of my meals would be healthy, though.
6. How often do you eat out?
Almost every day, whether it is for gourmet sandwiches or salads, or just plain take-outs. I eat out in a restaurant at least once or twice a week, mostly for steaks or sashimi. Unlike most people, I think I drink more than I eat, really.
7. What are some things that’s always fully stocked in your fridge?
Fries, lots and lots of yakult. I hardly eat at home.
8. Which food best describes you?
Sashimi.
9. When you have a sudden craving for a particular food:
I’ll just think about the food – and in a few days’ time if it sticks, I will get it.
10. Savoury or sweet?
I hardly eat desserts or appetisers… the main course fills me up nicely (I don’t like feeling stuffed!) and the alcohol makes it a perfect meal. However, I do like tiramisu if it’s from Prego or Pontini.. mm.
