Bistro One Zero Three: A moment like this

The inconspicuous location, the quaint ambience, the welcoming services, the unpretentious food, just like how I remembered it. The perfect place for spending the last minutes of the year, away from the world.

What a way to end off our year with a bang! The Oven-baked barbecue pork ribs ($24.90) were unbelievable; gigantic was the portions, and the price value. The lovely couple, steak fries and mesculun mix. I like the fries for the generous cut, and my friend enjoyed the greens without any heavy dressings.

As the salmon steak wasn’t available that night, my date chose the Salmon & crab meat spaghetti ($15.90). I had it the last time too. A lone slice of salmon, with novelty points for the clever inclusion of crab meat.

The panna cotta purists would surely be disappointed by the Panacotta with mocha sauce ($6). The texture wasn’t firm and bouncy. But if you looked at the dessert from the pudding point of view, the smooth and light taste was well complimented by the mocha sauce.

The authenticity of the Italian Cassata cake ($6) was questioned by my friend. Since the traditional dessert is essentially a round sponge cake with layers of gelato. Nonetheless, Neapolitan ice cream with candied. Well, ice cream is ice cream after all, your happy booster.

foodie queen: haha the mocha coating right? lol

layla: yeah the ribs are good, and BIG! hahaha

sihan: Ah, different people will have different perception, since my eyes only choose to see, what we want to see. The ladies before you can only see the good food, but u on the other hand see a different angle. So long the person who is intended to read see gets her perception what i’m saying : )

vicki: haha you mean you dont like neopolitian ice cream now? lol

missyglutton: yeah the inaccessible location does make it difficult for people to go. But it’s another a plus, like during festive periods, go there not so crowded. haha

dora: thanks for always visiting and leaving comment! yeah : )

just brought a friend there this evening. nice ambience, simple and cozy restaurant.. it was value for money.. the salon/crab pasta was nice (remember to ask for more sauce) and the baby spare ribs really good! location a bit ulu, but ample parking just a short walk in from the main road, but a bit dark, so just be extra careful…

What do you think?
